I enjoyed the descriptions of the perfect guy and the perfect girl. I did not enjoy the male on male experiences.

While gorgeous, both are struggling with inner insecurities that push them to be even more than they can be. That makes them excellent candidates for a secretive research project with highly questionable ethics—one that involves a new type of sexual enhancements. Despite the marketing aim toward men who wish to be more physically “gifted,” the research requires a pair of living, breathing test subjects.What results is a crazy chronicle of sexual encounters involving not only Eric and Kris, but a host of others, as well. Things become a bit surreal and the lines between fantasy and reality become extremely blurred. But will the couple come out of it unscathed or damaged goods?This was a fun, fast, original erotic novel. I enjoyed the idea of research and testing of a sexual product — it was a good change of pace from the typical 50 Shades style of story that has flooded the market. The writing was fluid and engaging, as were the characters. At first, I assumed both Eric and Kris would come across as shallow and self-absorbed, but their personal issues and insecurities brought life and complexity to them. This was a sexy page-turner to say the least. I can’t wait for more from Sky Sterling!

I’ve always been a huge ran of the erotica/romance genre and have followed it closely for many years, but as of recently I feel that most new authors are relying and reusing the same old tried-and-true formula, cliches, and mainstream archetypes. So, that being said, I find it very refreshing and impressive to come across an author that isn’t afraid to think outside of the box, experiment a lot with the genre, and ultimately offer readers a unique and well-written work.I think the real substance of this book lies in the fact that the plot itself, even without taking into account the steamy scenes, stands out in its own right simply due to the fact that it’s complex, unpredictable, and genuinely well-constructed. I think this proves that the author doesn’t have to rely on over-the-top sex scenes to offer readers value, and I hope author Sky Sterling continues with this style of writing. Still, for readers who are fans of this genre solely for the steamy scenes – I can definitely say that “Metamorphosis” doesn’t disappoint in this regard whatsoever. Overall, I’m more then satisfied with the read and I look forward to seeing more by the author in the future.

A well written upscale step up from the usual porn. This book has a great story line and keeps you reeled in to find out what happens next. The characters are well developed and the story line - yes, there is actually a story - is believable. Definitely gets your motor racing in a provocative way. A great read!

This is one of the first stories I've read where not only is the growth fetish pushed in to the extremes, but is done in a smart and well thought out way. Had a great time with this story and can't wait to read what Sky writes next.

This is erotic science fiction that captures the best of both genres, distinguishing itself by demonstrating some deeply creative thought processes around the justification, logistics, and consequences of extreme body modification.The idea here is, as the title suggests, that bigger is always better. Although he knows he's of average size down below, Eric has always felt insecure around the other guys at the gym. When he's invited to become part of a secret trial for an underground research project, he allows himself to be seduced by the incredible potential. Following a series of hormonal and surgical enhancements that not only provide the increased size, but control over its growth, Eric finds himself transformed into a hypersexual monstrosity, coming perilously close to physically destroying a number of women with his insatiable lust.Of course, body image isn't just an issue for men, and a successful trial needs a second willing participant who can accommodate Eric's size without the risk of bodily harm. Kris is the young woman who has been similarly enhanced, both above and below the waist, and it turns out they are compatible in more ways than one. Their encounters become increasingly more impossible and bizarre as the story goes on, with just about every complication you can imagine arising. Without getting into all the X-rated details, let's just say getting stuck together is a real problem, especially when bodily fluids need somewhere to go, making this is a story that's explosive in more ways than one. It's crazy, it's over-the-top, and it's often mind-boggling, but somehow it's still manages to be legitimately erotic.This isn't just a series of increasingly impossible sexual encounters, however, it's an intriguing story that looks at the psychological reasons behind our body image issues, the potential of our imagination, the challenges (and dangers) of unchecked enhancement, and the biological aspect of sexual attraction, regardless of gender. There's a lot of thought behind it, and some really inventive medical solutions for those challenges. Sterling considers the strain that such a massive enhancement puts on a body, including everything from everyday chafing to problems with blood pressure, and explores the learning curve of being a guinea pig. It takes time for Eric and Kris to reach their potential, and one setback in particular leaves him hospitalized, nearly exposing the whole secret project.Smart and sexy, Metamorphosis: Bigger is always better is erotic science fiction that manages to amaze, amuse, and arouse all at the same time.
