I had never crocheted or knitted before I got this kit 7 months ago. I've now finished countless projects and learned a ton about crochet, and this kit still goes everywhere with me. It gets daily use, and none of the hooks are any worse for wear than they were the day I got them. Nothing is, in fact, the scissors, measuring tape, stitch markers, etc are all still working perfectly. This has everything I need to throw in my bag and be able to crochet wherever I am. Highly, highly recommend for beginners. Would make an excellent gift for someone who wants to get into crocheting.

Kit is adorable, and I'm a beginner, but the hooks are too poorly made. Hopefully, I got a bad batch. They are all unfiled and sharp. Like they weren't cleaned up when they came out of the stamp. They catch the yarn, they should be smooth. They would need finishing or filing before you could use them. I returned the whole lot. I guess the price is low for a reason!

It's a little on the small side but it's working out for what I wanted it for anyway. I got it to help me hold some of my hooks that up to now have been just sort of wandering amid my craft supplies. This holds the two I have along with the stuff that came in it okay. Won't work for many more than that but then, really how many hooks does a casual crocheter need. Don't answer that. lolAnyway, it's not a bad little product and serves its purpose.

I purchased this at the beginning of my crochet journey, and I will say It exceeded my expectations. Durable hooks, and the safety pins are great, for those projects still waiting to be finished. The tape measurer was an added bonus. Although the counter was not the best. I eventually purchased a inexpensive digital counter...problem solved. If you purchase this set the only thing you'll need next is a pattern and yarn.What are you waiting for beginner or veteran this will work for you!

I purchased this crochet kit as a gift for a former student who wants to learn to crochet. I was very pleased with the kit.I have not given this gift yet as it comes with a day of crochet lessons. However, I am confident that this kit will be likedand will help my student enjoy many happy hears crocheting. Great kit! I needed to get a couple needles for a class I was taking and I got all of these needles, 12 of them, plus all the other supplies you need to crochet. I took it to class and everyone just loved it, I'm sure they'll be buying one too. It's a great deal and a really nice looking case too. I highly recommend this to either the beginner or the expert. This is a great kit. I'm a beginner and it came with everything I could possibly need to start my crocheting journey. The ebook is great, BUT I wish it was an actual hardcover book. I personally like real books instead of ebooks but all in all the information is great. This was wonderful and I highly recommend it! I would definitely purchase this again if I needed it as a gift!Update: I purchased this kit for my mothers birthday. She loves it!

I'm not a beginner to crochet, but I was tired of never knowing if I already had a certain size hook before I started a project. (I have rambunctious dogs so they get stolen or I hide them so well even I can't find them later. So I was interested in this kit and the bag to have a set of needles always together. It's a great kit and very cute, easy to put in a bag if you want to take your work with you. The plastic needles and stitch markers are nice & I like having the ruler and measuring tape all in with it. I didn't like the scissors much but I have tons of those anyway so it did not matter in the least (they were just kinda stuff to unfold and fold back and not sharp but I'm sure after use they'd be fine?) overall extremely happy with this purchase and with the seller!!!!
