Best water filter system you can buy.
Best water filter system you can buy. I place mine over a water crock and just let the water trickle down. It filters a whole host of viruses, bacteria, heavy metals, fluoride, chlorine ,even oil contaminated water and sewage tainted water...ewww!You can pack it away to take camping as well. There have been numerous situations this past year in the news where whole communities have had e.coli contaminated city water.- or a boil only order - If those folks had an Aquapail ,they could have saved themselves some grief and inconvenience of having to buy bottled water.Amazon offers a great price!

Buyer Beware
I was sent a recall notice for this product. That's fine, as nothing is problem free. But I ended up in an unwanted exchange with Right Here Right Now about the manufacture. I don't care who's fault it is, I just want to get what I paid for. At first they told me to throw the defective product in the trash, as it fell between the dates in question. I had to go by order-date because the manufacture-date sticker was not applied to the unit I received. After promising to send a replacement unit, Right Here Right Now sent me another email today saying that I needed to contact the manufacturer directly, but gave no contact information. Now they want me to return the unit. Nothing like changing the rules after the fact.I have no idea if the product actually works, and it looks like I might not have the opportunity to find out. It's ironic because I wouldn't have known it was defective until I needed it, if they hadn't contacted me about their problem with the manufacturer. Now it's become my problem. I think my time is better spent looking for a different solution from a different vendor.UPDATE:The problem was immediately resolved with one email to Aqua Pail. Even though I made it clear that it was just a heads-up and no action was required, Dennis Clements of Aqua Pail offered to send a replacement unit. I still don't have any idea when the original unit was made or if a replacement was necessary, but Aqua Pail's response was a lot more impressive.

For me this is a very good product ...
I use a Aqua Pail 1000 for everyday drinking. Is the filter at the bottom perfect no. Does a teaspoon of filter material get through (once) ... yes ... does it matter no. The filter water tastes great does what it states. I also have an Aquasauna filter system(5yo) hooked directly to my water supply that works great. I am using the Aqua Pail for simplicity, longevity, lower overall cost and portability. IMO the water from the Aqua Pail tastes better than the other water filters I have used. (four stars because nothing is perfect)

Great peace of mind
I haven't used the Aqua Pail yet, and hope I never have to. I bought it for a backup water source in the event something happens to our municipal supply. It's great knowing I have up to 1000 gallons of drinkable water in a bucket that weighs about 10 lbs. That's about 6,500 lbs of water I would have to store otherwise. I did alot of research and watched the videos and I have no doubt the Aqua Pail will work as described, which is why I give it 5 stars.

Small and Durable Enough To Put In Storage
We keep this for an emergency so we have not used it yet. But the bucket is small which means it stores well. We bought two so we kept them in the box they came in and have them stacked on top of each other. I think they will word fine in an emergency situation.

It seems like good insurance for the future
This really seems to be the best idea for emergency drinking water because it is self contained and highly portable. It filters a huge amount of water quickly for most purposes. I like it a lot.

A little heavy but should do the job.
I have not had occasion to use this yet. It is kind of heavy but I guess that is to be expected.
