For Everyone
I bought this to try out with my own children with the idea that it would be great in my elementary classroom. I do a lot of work with Design Thinking and fostering creativity. We played it as a family (I have 9 year old twins) and it was a hit. My husband does NOT enjoy board games and rarely joins us, however, he was so intrigued he asked to join in. We worked independently creating for our "extraordinaire" and then shared out our ideas. We then awarded each other using the provided award cards. We had so much fun! My daughter woke up the next day and pulled it out on her own, she was so excited to show me her design when she was finished. I would say this is great as a group or independently. My husband (a software engineer) said "this is exactly what we do at work, only way more fun." He plans to take it into work to do as a fun, teambuilding exercise. And I definitely plan to implement in my classroom next year!

... down for a few days and it's still a favorite. Very clever and creative premise
Gift for an 11 year old who loves to draw - she didn't put it down for a few days and it's still a favorite. Very clever and creative premise.

and it's a fun downtime activity that we can do together
Though this is supposed to be for 8 and older, I purchased it for my son about 2 months prior to his 7th birthday. He really enjoys it, and it's a fun downtime activity that we can do together. As he gets older I'm sure he'll pick up more on the design process, and really tailor each invention for the particular client. In the meantime, he loves to use his imagination and draw out the products he has created. It's wonderful for a self-directed, do alone, quiet activity when kids need a break from electronics, and or each other. However you can also design as a team, or have a design competition if more than one person wants to play.

Must have
This is a must have in a classroom if you want to Foster imagination. I use this with my first grade students and they absolutely adore it. I did not get to the point that I could do it with them independently we did it whole group with taking volunteers for submitting answers and we drew on the Whiteboard as a whole group. But they loved it we followed all the rules and played just like it would be if we were planning it in small group. I absolutely adore this game

One of the best ways to boost creativity and spend time with your kid!
This game is recommended to those parents who hear from their kids that" I am bored."It is a combination of drawing, critical thinking and fun. The creators of this game have been inspired by human centric design and design thinking which has been successfully implanted by companies such as IDEO and APPLE.The packaging of the game is unique too. It is like a MacBook which gives the feeling of being important and cool to kids.I do recommend this game to all parents.

$40.00 for a pen and paper?
This is misleading. It is nothing more than a plastic case with drawing paper, a pen, and various cards, some picturing fantasy creatures, and others suggesting that you should draw/create something for the figure to use in some activity. My 8 year old granddaughter (bright) was not impressed. If a child is precociously imaginative, perhaps it has some value, but if the child is already imaginative and precocious, he or she doesn't need this. For me it required too much adult interaction to interest my granddaughter. I was extremely disappointed after the high rating. Perhaps it would appeal to an older child (10-12) who has an interest in fantasy and science and the creation of imaginative, innovative, designs for furniture, toys, weapons, transport or equipment. For me it was a waste of $40.00.

Disappointment
I bought this as a birthday present for my nine year old grandson who is in a gifted and talented class. I'm sorry to say he wasn't very interested in it... Would rather have more Legos.
