I've been using fountain pens for a long time, mostly the very expensive special ones, but nothing can compare to this Waterman Allure pen. It is far the best and I will never change to a different as I have no reason to.The pen is comfy to hold for long periods and trust me, I use it all day at work! The yellow colour is just stunning, very decent but elegant. It is easy to use and to speak for how it writes, you should try for yourself, because it's a great experience. The flow is just perfect, it starts writting straight after it touches the paper, no incostencies in the flow, no pressure required. It is very smooth, neat and gives a perfect amount of ink.I am in love with this pen and carry it everywhere I go. I use parker ink for it which works great. I can't recommend it enough! Considering the price, the pen is just a miracle :) if something happens to the one I've got now, I am definitely buying it again

This is a beautiful fountain pen, looks and feels way more expensive than the amount I paid for it. The only thing is - I have arthritic hands and the pen although may not seem heavy to some felt like a brick in my hands. Still someone will be the happy owner of a beautiful pen when I have given it away.

Used for around 7 months. Never had to refill. Nice feel and size for price if a bit underwhelming in design. Paint chips easy.

The ease movement on the paper is such that when it does catch it effects the shape of the word. That will wear away in time. It seldom happens with this one.

This pen was kind of a let down, even though it only cost 10 pounds. It feels generally very cheap, like a Jinhao. The body is made from light plastic, the feed and the nib are the most basic ones I have ever seen. Out of the box, after a soap wash, the pen wrote like a western fine, with a generous ink flow. Sadly, the nib was sitting on the feed extremely misaligned, and I could not twist it back. I think the nib is deformed and is made from rigid steel, so I could not adjust it at all. At the end, I cannibalised a Jinhao #5 nib from a pen I wasn't using anymore, and was able to fit it into this pen and turn it into a usable instrument. I wouldn't buy this pen again, cheaper to go with a basic Jinhao and the quality is the same.
