Poor viewing angles. Otherwise good.
Well, I did my best. I read the reviews, checked the spec's, all that stuff, ...but the system beat me. I, quite reasonably, believed that this monitor would have decent viewing angles, what with it being sold as having an IPS panel, and with the viewing angle being quoted at a decent 178 degrees. But the viewing angles are awful. Viewed straight-on it's fine, but even standing up from one's chair makes the image go dark.Weirdly, the image becomes better again at extreme angles, but has this dark zone, which makes it look as if a dark bar is moving across the screen as you stand up. So, if for example you were sitting at a desk and someone came over and leaned over your desk to see what you were working on,, they would see that dark bar across the screen. So, it may, I suppose, have a visible enough image at 178 degrees, and has a decent image at 90 degrees (head-on) but the compromised and shifting image quality at just off the 90 degrees makes it difficult to work with. No one really uses a monitor at 178 degree angles anyway, but one should be able to get up from a chair and see roughly the same image when standing as when sitting!I compared this to my other monitor screens, a couple of which are getting on for 20 years old now, and the viewing angles on this Phillips monitor are very much worse.OK, that's the bad bits out of the way. Apart from the poor viewing angles (which is a deal-breaker for me) the monitor is pretty good. The basic image quality from square-on is fine. There is no noise from the monitor at all, no buzzing, no whistling, regardless of the brightness setting. The 1920x1200 resolution is FAR better than the normal 1020x1080.The monitor looks very good: all black and frameless. There's a full range of connections: HDMI, DP, DVI, and VGA, plus four USB ports. It has built-in speakers, which although not great, mean I don't have use headphones all the time. The stand is good, allowing a good height adjustment, rotation clockwise or anticlockwise, etc.The stand can be removed very quickly and easily, revealing a 100x100 VESA mount. There's no backlight bleed or other strange artifacts, apart from the viewing angle issues already mentioned. It's quite easy to set up different profiles - I set up a very low-level one for comfortable text work and a brighter one for movies.Oh, and there were zero dead pixels on the one I was sent.In fact, this monitor ticks all the boxes for me, except for the very poor viewing angles. Unfortunately that means it is no improvement on my existing monitor, so I shall be returning it.I really don't know where to go from here. If a monitor is sold as having an IPS panel, and the manufacturers say it has 178 degree viewing angles, but just doesn't live up to that description, then I'm not sure how I can tell if a monitor is going to fit the bill without physically seeing it first.Anyway, if you don't care about viewing angles, this monitor is pretty good, but I can't give it more than 3 stars overall.

Very good so far.
This is a review after one week of use.Pro’sThe 16:10 aspect ratio is great for office and web browsing. No dead pixels so far.Lots of types of connections with cables supplied in the box.The usb 3.0 hub is easily accessible. The height, tilt and rotation are stable and easy to adjust. There is an app available to adjust the settings although the menu system is fairly easy to use.The location of the menu buttons on the front right are easily accessible.Clear type and evenly lit when testing with the eizo monitor test.ConsThe refresh rate of 60hz is quite limiting especially for gaming. The pixels are quite noticeable but this may be because the pixel density isn’t that high for a 25” screen. The screen doesn’t always wake up from sleep.I’ve disabled the smart sensor and that seems to have fixed the issue.I will update this review if any other issues arise.

Good monitor but sound quality isn’t great
The sound is a bit ‘tinny’ but picture and camera quality are great

Great, if rather large, monitor. Inbuilt webcam is not great quality. Expensive.
This was easy to set up - just as well, as the instructions were sparse in the extreme. I really like the way you can change the height of the monitor simply by moving it up and down on its stand. Picture quality is fine. The bezels are rather large, but that's an advantage, because you can use a proper webcam without obscuring part of the screen. The built-in webcam is not great quality and you can't change the angle of it, so a decent webcam is recommended. Also, the instructions don't make clear that you have to press the webcam down really hard to release it.Also, it ain't cheap.

Perfect for what I needed
I switch between my personal laptop which I am using for school, my own self-employed work and some web browsing, and my work laptop (I work from home). I needed a bigger screen with an additional camera. I like that you can just push down the camera and you can make sure it won't turn on. I am genuinely impressed with the picture quality and, after I coupled this with a multi device Bluetooth keyboard and mouse I created a workspace where I can easily switch between machines. I love the fact that the screen rotates and can be vertical when needed. The tilt function is very handy if I just want to lay on the sofa to watch some YouTube. The screen has multiple ports so I can use both mac and windows laptops at the same time and just switch between sources to switch between them. Absolutely love it, this was a great purchase.

Excellent Monitor
This replaced my original 22 inch monitor. What a difference. Light, bright and colourful.Plenty of inputs for video and came with all the cables needed. I especially like the USB hubs, very handy for keyboard and mouse.Installation was so simple, good sturdy stand. Tiltable and height adjustable, slides up and down so easily.Well recommended.

Screen is quite nice but speakers and microphone are dreadful
The screen itself is bright and crisp and the integrated webcam seems to work very well. However, if you are planning to use this screen in a home office with plans to video conference you will definitely need to also order a separate speaker / microphone as the integrated ones are very bad quality.
