Datu Puti Vinegar and Soy Sauce Value Pack - 1 liter bottle of each

I am not Filipino but love chicken adobo and have been making it at home for several years, using Chinese soy sauce and Heinz white vinegar. I decided to order this to see if it would improve my chicken adobo and it definitely did! I found that following the recipes online for the proportions of soy sauce and vinegar using Heinz white vinegar always tasted way too sour to me, and I would always add a bunch of water to mellow out the flavor. However, using the Datu Puti vinegar which is a cane vinegar, I did not have this issue at all. Cane vinegar has a slightly more subtle flavor than white vinegar that is perfect for chicken adobo. Not sure how much of a difference the soy sauce made, but I will continue buying this value pack for cooking Filipino food!

I needed these 2 specific items to make Filipino Chicken Adobo. There really is a difference in soy sauces and white vinegars! Who knew? I loved the difference and now use them both frequently in other recipes. This is a great value for this much of each item. Highly recommend. I'm so glad this adobo recipe made me expand my soy sauce and vinegar palate! This is my second purchase of these items from this seller. It won't be my last!

This is one of two brands I use when cooking Filipino chicken adobo. I usually like to go to the Asian store in person to purchase my Filipino and Hawaiian ingredients but shopping from Amazon has made it more convenient lately. When the sauces arrived, there was no leakage, so the products were handled with care. Upon opening both bottles, they were tightly sealed under the cap. So much so, I needed to take a knife to poke a hole in order to slide my finger under the sticker seal. The sauces dispense evenly and smell exactly as they should. It also tastes just like the ones in the Asian store. I use more soy sauce than vinegar. So I run out of that faster. Moving forward I will need to buy two more soy sauces individually before getting this duo again so I don’t have a ton of vinegar.
