Perfect for commercial installations
The media could not be loaded. Past history and quality of Denon products holds true with this device. The range is good when the antenna is correctly installed. ample output gain to drive most amplifiers, and the audio quality is excellent. The DN-200BR works perfectly for my application. It was recently installed in the sound equipment rack at a moderate sized banquet hall. When the DN-200BR is NOT paired there are NO tones produced (like so many consumer Bluetooth receivers will do), additionally the DN-200BR does not auto-connect. This is particularly important in a commercial application where a previously paired device might cause a problem when a new device needs to be paired.I am a commercial audio service tech for the last 30+ years. This is one device I absolutely love.

Exactly how a BT receiver should work
We use this for playing music from an iPhone at dance recitals and performances. The range is fantastic - easily reaching from the booth to the stage in a 650 seat auditorium. The external mag-mount BNC-connected antenna sets this unit apart from everything else I had tried before - stick it up high on the window or a railing for great line-of-sight reception, vs other products with antennas nestled in with power and signal wires inside a rack. The audio quality is fantastic, and the built-in level control makes it easy to setup with whatever the house sound board has available so I'm not messing with their presets. Pairing is consistent and reliable, even after power cycling it remembers the last phone and reconnects. Shows up right away with iPhone SE and 6S.Note that this unit has "pro-level" outputs 4dB balanced, vs the -10dB unbalanced output used with consumer gear. You will need to use two cables if you want stereo, and a balanced-to-unbalanced cable if connecting to a consumer 1/8" (3.5mm) jack.Highly recommended if you need a professional bluetooth receiver!

Works well with home systems
This worked really well for a home system - we had a receiver hard wired to a computer using squeezebox and were able to use this to BT into an Ipad instead, with great sound quality. Definitely recommend for those who want to keep their old system but replace difficult to use receivers.

Works great, but there is no way it will go 33 meters, I'm lucky to get 30 feet, line of sight.
Works great, but there is no way it will go 33 meters, I'm lucky to get 30 feet, line of sight. I don't know if mine is broken or something but I can barely go all the way across my living room. I was hoping it would go way farther than that. I was also hoping to get another one, but with this kind of range I may try a different brand. It does work well though. I rarely have connection issues and it sounds nice. The range is just not great.

Uses obsolete BT standard 3.8
After experiencing frequent Bluetooth disconnections with the Denon device whenever I moved just a few feet away, I decided to investigate further. It turns out this model has been on the market since 2014 and uses Bluetooth standard 3.8. I was disappointed to find that the Amazon listing failed to mention that this device, equipped with outdated technology, is still being sold in 2024.

Unit getting disconecting constantly
Is the third time that I use the bluethooth and is getting discnnecting constantly for a periot of 1 second each and it is frustrated to listent to music like this. I change the computer because I was thinking it was my old computer but still doing it.

Sounds great
Pro gear, balanced and unbalanced outputs, true line level out (adjustable), flat frequency response, transparent sound, and no troubles pair to devices.Spendy yes, still great for streaming into high-end home use while it is built as road gear so I do recommend it for live production applications. It can be mounted in a road case with the antenna connected via a 6' coaxial cable for placement options.

Sound is good, but BT signal is horrible
Unit sound and jacks are pretty good, but the Bluetooth range is horrible. I initially used this in a rectangular shop, 10x25. Pretty small area and it worked fine (though it always cut out if I had my phone in my pocket and I left the shop). But this was an ideal BT environment (very little electronic interference and zero physical interference).I recently moved this to my living room and its performance went down the drain. I can't even walk to the bathroom (about 20 feet away) without the signal breaking up. There is TV, kitchen appliances, and my office in the same large room (20x30). I don't expect it to be perfect, but this thing requires direct line of sight and a range of about 15 feet or less. If these simple requirements aren't met in this room, it breaks up and is virtually un-listenable.As a comparison, I also have a BT receiver/transmitter by another brand (Mii B03) and this thing picks up signal all over property (doesn't really matter what physical or electronic interference there is, not to mention distance). In fact, it's so good, I get upset because it steals the BT signal if I accidentally leave it on upstairs in my gym (very greedy receiver).Point is, if this manufacturer can do it, so too can Denon. For the price and name brand, I'd expect better. What's worse, it's not trivial to find a replacement antenna (the one they send is no good; 6 feet and doesn't help that much). So now I'm on the hunt for a BT signal booster or an antenna that makes this unit worth what I paid.
