I had to get this review on top so that other users could avoid mishaps. This is a great piece of stationary. Excellent paperweight. Good stress buster if you can throw it at someone. Although it may not do a lot of damage due to its build quality. Very lightly built. None of the sides were square to each other. Looks like scrap steel was cut and welded in a matter of minutes like a paper origami. Handles fell off on the very first day, well, who needs them since you can't hold work in this anyways. The rest of it fell apart in a year or so. I bought both a 6" and an 8" version at the same time from the same seller. Turns out, they're all the same basic vice, just the jaws are bigger. In the end I sold them for scrap. That's where they belong. Never use such poorly built vice(s?) for work holding during cutting/grinding operations. 100% accidents waiting to happen if used for anything other than holding lightweight objects like paper or feathers.All in all, a Made in India product. Maybe it's just a decent start for something better. Or maybe we're going back to the stone age. Who knows!

This vice is capable of holding only light weight items. Cannot be used for holding, twisting and bending any metal parts. This is not made of full cast iron but welded steel flat. Not for heavy duty precision work.
