Purchased for a 2 year old birthday gift. He was very happy with it and immediately hugged it. It is the perfect size for a small child and is very cuddly.

I just recently went to London and my granddaughter asked me to bring her back 'Paddington'. I could not find this exact 18" bear anywhere. Their smaller size 6" - 8" bears were running $30 and up without the suitcase and note attached to his coat. They did have a 12" bear but it was $60+. You can find Paddingtons's on other websites that look like the bear in the movie but we wanted the original little guy from the book. Plus most websites charge shipping. This bear stands on his own. The suitcase opens and closes easily for packing small items kids treasure. He is furry and his face is cute - he is well constructed and dressed. Amazon provided me with the best solution - free shipping, cheaper price, the fact that I did not have to carry him on the plane or smash him in my suitcase and most important my granddaughter loves him!

This lovable bear worked his way into my heart very quickly having seen both Paddington Bear and Paddington II films on DVD. I am a grandmother, 81 years old, and can appreciate his kindness and way of bringing hope and love into a cold and hostile world with the innocence of a child has an even sweeter appeal as one gets older. When I saw that Paddington was available in his original outfit and battered orange cap holding onto his suitcase with all his earthly treasures and the note Aunt Lucy put around his asking a kind soul to please take care of this bear, I wanted to be Mrs. Brown and invite him to make my home, his own. And he has. Silly for an 81 year old grandmother to say? I don't think so. My only wish for improvement is that he is honey colored, but I do wish he were bear brown as he was in the two films, and that his embroidered winsome smile was better defined. It is half hidden under the honey colored hair on his face.

This is a nice bear. That’s no doubt. But I bought it as a Christmas gift for my grandson and it came wrapped in a plastic bag. Now I have to go buy a nice box to put it in.
