I bought this LANC remote control four years ago for my Canon XA11 camera and the control is well made and operates as described. After four years the clamp finally broke but I like the remote control so much that I just ordered another one.

I have a ceiling mounted camcorder for live streaming and needed a remote since the controls were out of reach and in top of the camcorder. I had looked for a wireless remote to no avail, and eventually purchased this one. From the product photo I had envisioned it to be much larger and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and found it be in miniature about the size of a small matchbox. The squeeze-clip grip worked great for my needs since I was able to wire it and clip it to the underside of the ceiling camera mounting box. I can now reach and control the most common camcorder functions without the need of a ladder and it still remains out of sight and out of mind clipped high above the heads of the audience with the wire hidden from view. Your needs may vary, but so far it’s working well for mine and I can recommend it as small, functional, and inobtrusive despite the wire.

I like this small remote, works well with my JVC GY-HM200 170U video camera, and it's a good price. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is because it would be a better product if you could remove the built-in clamp.

I purchased for use on a canon camcorder used for our church. The camera is used for lock down, unmanned shot for our live stream and this remote allows us to zoom in./out as needed to provide the proper shot. I connected via a 6' 2.5mm extension cable with success due to distance from camera operator station.

Works perfect with the Canon G50

I use this with a Canon VIXIA HF G50 4K camera and it performs as advertised. All the features work, including slow and fast zoom. I'm actually pretty impressed that there's enough standardization of interface protocols across brands to make this work using only a 3.5mm TRS connector. Props to the industry, I guess. Clips just fine to the tripod's pan handle and puts control of the camera's functions where they're easy to reach.

I purchased this remote for my end zone camera system, which is basically a tripod putting a video camera 25' in the air to film football games. My professional remote is $160 so I was looking for an inexpensive backup if the primary would fail. This remote works perfectly with my Canon Vixia HF G20. I did need to purchase a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter for it to work with the wiring harness but that was easy and inexpensive. This is a great price for all the features including variable zoom settings. So for $32 with the adapter, this can replace a $160 remote in a pinch. Very pleased!

The media could not be loaded. I have my camera mounted on top of a table for overhead shots so controls are not easy to reach.I decided invest in this remote control and now my life is easier.I still need to turn it on by hand and then I can use the remote to start/stop recording and also to zoom in/ zoom out.Is small but gets the job done. Recommended.
