Inspiring wisdom from a wonderful author

I absolutely love this book. It’s elegant and meditative and just breathtaking. 10/10 would recommend. I even bought a copy for a friend:)

John O’Donohue shares his insights into the wonder of our lives and reminds of the possibilities we possess to orient ourselves as we all share our own journeys. I greatly appreciate this man’s wisdom and no one will be disappointed with spending time with this book!

Many a time, we can only experience our reality as rigid fact and figures reporting but to sculpt out of our imagination a vocabulary so lyrical and mystical that it heals our disorientation from our home, is pure gift from the two Johns.

Kind and necessary words for our bewildering times. Keep in mind this work is a compilation of audio interviews with O’Donohue so it doesn’t go deeply on some topics and some of his phrasing is repetitive because O’Donohue is speaking off the cuff albeit thoughtfully. Anyone who wants more can pick up the lovely books O’Donohue wrote before he died. But this book is a refreshing quick read when one needs a reminder of light and what’s important.

Having read most of O'Donohue's book I think this may be my favorite. While death isn't typically a subject most like to think of, O'Donohue does an awesome job of putting a great and calming perspective to the subject. It will be in my library to read again.

So good! Really makes you think. Really opens your mind to the wonders of this world. It's nice to know they're are others who think and feel the way the author captures wonders of the world and enrichment in conversation.
