Pleasing, challenging, and fun
Oh thank the universe this game came along! My 6 year old got into a Monopoly obsession this summer and I just couldn't do it for the 45th time. He likes the idea of money. I found this game and was blown away!It has all the elements that make a game fun. Even my non-gamey 12 year old was playing with us every day. I love the tactile part of this- the little trucks, the ice cream tokens that go in the trucks, the cones, the money.... The game play was also fabulous- a good balance of strategy and luck. It didn't have that cut-throat feel that Monopoly has. You are pretty much building up your own ice cream businesses, without having to crush someone to do it.One thing I loved is that no one gets so far ahead with someone else getting stuck way behind. We all know those types of games. Everyone has a fair chance to be successful here. And because of the luck portion of the game, everyone has a chance to get ahead. One thing we noticed about the game that could use a little tweak, is that once people start getting a lot of money, there's really no way to lose it. So we added a few stickers onto some spaces where if people have over a certain amount of money, they "got caught embezzling and have to give a bunch of money back!" , Just to keep things unpredictable.I love this game and look forward to playing it with my family. Even 45 times.

Fun game for the entire family!
Such a fantastic game! I have enjoyed this game so much that I bought it for my nephew for his birthday (he says it's his favorite game!) and given it to friends who are big into board games. I've played it with children and adults and everyone enjoys it - seriously, even me and my adult buddies have played it together and had a great time! It's easy to learn, and doesn't take forever to play (think 45-75 minutes per game). If you are looking for something complex that takes hours to play, then this isn't for you. But if you are looking for something you can learn quickly and easily, get right into playing, have a good time, and has the bonus of teaching children some basic math and business skills while having a lot of fun, I can't recommend this game enough. Excellent work in creating this game!

Great game but incomplete instructions
My family loved the game, but we have a question. Instructions say you can buy another person's stores if they are not in a chain. Does that mean that if the owner of the stores (not in a safe chain) does not want to sell, you can force him to sell as many as you have money to buy? Or does he have to agree with the sale?

Cute game, best for beginner intro. Other games teach$ lessons better
It’s a cute game. We ve played it twice since Christmas. Very easy to figure out, only buy flavors when inventory is priced low. Took my 6 and 8 year olds less than 5 minutes to figure that out. They prefer Catan Kids edition and Carson family edition, Money Bags, PayDay etc. they don’t really ask to play this game. It’s cute, a good introduction if your kids haven’t played other business or money oriented games.

Fun game, kids can play by themselves!
We played this game last night as a family and it was fun. It def. gave us the opportunity to explain some business concepts to our daughter that we had not before. We all had fun, and will play again as a family. But honestly my favorite part of this game, (and the real reason I am writing this review since I almost NEVER write reviews) is after playing just once with us my 9yo daughter was able to get the game, set up, explain and play with her friend without ANY help from me. They have been playing for almost an hour and haven't needed me at all. I know that sounds horrible, but in the time of Covid Lock-down, self directed, non-screen, educational play is priceless!

Great game for teaching kids about money and business
Do you like the fact that Monopoly teaches kids about money, but hate everything else about it? Try Ice Cream Empire.Let's start with the bad: the box artwork is strange and doesn't mesh with the vibe at all. Other than that, the game is great. This game teaches kids about entrepreneurship, supply/demand, inflation, investment vs. growth, cost of ownership, and a bunch of other good lessons. My 6/8 year olds can play by themselves, with enough challenge to keep grown ups interested too. And it plays in about 45 minutes, as opposed to 45 days for Monopoly.Plus, it provides a natural opportunity to go out for ice cream afterwards!

Our family loves Ice Cream so we tried this game. It is a lot of FUN!
This is a great game that is centered around business and ice cream. Buy low and sell high. My 12yo, 10yo, and 9yo love this game. It plays better with 3 and 4 people rather than just 2 people. It is a great way to get the family together for about an hour or so. Beginners can pick it up very easily. After the game the players can celebrate with REAL ICE CREAM!!!!
