The difference is the size. The black Travel Tin is 1.5 oz and the Original bamboo container is 2oz.

Q: How long will it stay active? I ride mountain bikes (often for full day jaunts). Thanks.

This formula is truly made to last, however a good rule of thumb for any sunscreen is to reapply every 80 minutes. SurfDurt is a physical barrier sunscreen you can see so if you no longer see it, it's definitely time to reapply.

Hi Bayli! Yes, this is a classic opaque white sunscreen and it will show up white on your face. If you prefer a more neutral look than I'd recommend the Tan, which has a tint to it. The Tan is still meant to be a visible barrier but it's much less noticeable!

Q: will a 2oz tin of this stuff last for a week in the Caribbean?

Absolutely - a 2oz tin will be more than enough to protect your face out in the Caribbean, a place where reef-safe really makes a difference. If you are going to use it for all over body, the 2oz package should still be plenty, just please beware that natural mineral pigment can get on clothing.
