Worked out issues with Amazon and will order these again.
Years ago, maybe 14, I had one of these Conair Butane hair curlers and used it all the time. When I ran out of refills and Walmart stopped carrying them I moved on reluctantly to the corded hair curling iron which of course does a much better job. That said, I have started traveling and wanted to reduce space in my luggage and was excited to find refills for sale on Amazon. The refills did not work in my old appliance so I figured it was broken and ordered a new butane appliance which does not come with a cover like the old one...that was disappointing...FYI the old cover does not snuggly fit the new appliance.After many frustrating tries, I decided to return the appliance to Amazon. I have never returned something before and was surprised that they wanted me to talk to someone and see if we could work out the problem...Surprisingly we did! Person asked me to use the original butane refill that came with the appliance and Voila, it lit right up and stayed lit. So then I was concerned about the refills not working, but after a couple tries, again, Voila! So I will try again later just to make sure I am not going to have an off again on again ongoing issue. And as a follow up on my old appliance...it still did not work and is now trashed!

Convenient fuel
Bought these as a gift for my elderly mother. She claims they last a long time, whenever I ask if she needs more, and she really appreciates being able to find these for use on her old curling iron. Hope they remain available for next time she asks.

Curls when camping.
I have used a Conair thermo cell hair curler for years. Of course the curler takes these thermo cell activators. I started with them while camping, and now use the Conair system when we RV, and have not used our generator while I do my hair. Nice hair in an instant. They are safe, totally sealed and heat up quickly. So handy. A great product.
