Purchaced for my son to help with muscle cramps after working out...

These appear to be a combination of magnesium citrate and magnesium oxide. I have bought these regularly and thought that previously they were only magnesium citrate. Has the formula changed or am I mistaken? A product I have used for a few years.

Firstly, my delivery for a UK made product was poor from Amazon. It took 6 days and came from Europe.Secondly, I actually have concerns about dosage and advertising on bottle.Packaging seems of good quality. Capsules large but easily swallowed.Dosage per capsule is 220mg yet bottle advertises 440mg elemental magnesium.Regulations for supplements may be different to that of medication.Additionally 440mg on top of what you get if you have a healthy varied diet is far too much for an adult male. Reference: NHS.I think you would be very surprised at how much you actually consume from having a varied diet.I can understand necessity for some of issues people have but I would seriously do your research properly before taking these otherwise you will suffer from side effects to include stomach cramps and diarrohea.I will use these very reservedly to aid sleep as necessary and only 1 at a time.Jury is out at the moment.

I have fibromyalgia and take amitriptyline for pain and sleep. I have found my tolerance for them has increased and so I started to get interrupted sleep and painful restless legs at night, following on from that I was starting to get more flares and going back to how I was before I started medication. I did lots of research into both sleep and restless legs and everything pointed to magnesium as the answer. Being a bit sceptical I decided to give it a go, these were the most highly rated ones and although I balked a little at the price, you can’t put a price on a decent nights sleep right?I’ve been taking them for about 2 weeks now and I have honestly felt a difference. I’m not talking OMG I SLEPT LIKE A LOG FOR 10 HOURS STRAIGHT but I did get a decent sleep and for longer periods of time. I also noticed I wasn’t getting my afternoon slump as badly and if I did wake up in the night it was easier to get back off again. I feel less zombie like during the day as well, so for me it’s money well spent so far!I agree with the other people about more vivid dreams and also being able to remember them more, I didn’t however experience the stomach issues that some people reported.Do I think the tablets work and are worth the money? Yes! Whether it’s just a placebo effect or actually working I don’t know and I don’t care! I’m definitely feeling better since taking them then I did without!
