Christian Life Coaching Handbook: Calling and Destiny Discovery Tools for Christian Life Coaching Paperback – August 11, 2009

I haven't gone through every page of this book, but man, I love it! This is such a great BIBLICAL resource for coaching others in what Tony Stoltzfus calls "destiny discovery". There are usually two camps of destiny discovery tools: (1) extremely independent and non-Biblical with a "do whatever you want" mentality, and (2) extremely religious with an "every desire is selfish," very self-deprecating mentality. This book is neither - it is Biblical, challenging, freeing, and encouraging. It is BALANCED, and I think that is so needed in our culture.What I love about Tony is his ability to marry big picture with details - the vision with the steps. As a coach-in-the-making, Tony put into words what I just couldn't pinpoint on my own. He made sense of the issues I was running into while putting together my curriculum. "Christian Life Coaching" has been a seriously helpful and timely resource for me. I love pulling apart the Lord's unique purpose for our lives - I think it's a way of God opening our eyes to what glimpses of what He has been doing, is doing, and will do.I enjoy the format of the book - I think there could be even more focused exercises (but honestly, not hard to create more of those on your own), but I think Tony appeals to every kind of learner through reflection questions, diagrams, narratives, outlines... all of it. Simply put, he makes sense to what is in my brain, and for that I am eternally grateful.I highly recommend this book if you really want to coach yourself, coach others, or both! I know it's both for me.

If you are a life coach this book is beyond valuable! Lots and lots of great tips for coaches. It is filled with questions you can ask to draw out the best from your clients. A definite must have!

This book is amazing! christian life coaching handbook is 280 pages of questions,tools and exercises designed to coach a client toward heaven. This book encourages the reader to discover God's calling for his life. Stoltzfus uses very specific exercises that encourage a client to discover where God is sending them. This book is helpful, practical and inspiring. It is an absolute necessity for the Christian Life coach's bookshelf.

This is an excelant book for the beginning life coach. It gives a clear unserstanding of what life coaching is all about. I feel it is a must have for any library.

I did not know whether the book would be exactly what I needed but it is. I have gotten very helpful information about becoming a Christian Life Coach. It gives many scriptures with each section. It is easy to read and understand. I feel it is very well written and has helped me in my own life.
