🌿 Grow Green, Live Clean!
A container, for example, a small, flat bowl is laid out with the trimmed coconut mat (smooth latexed side down, fibrous, soft side up). The seeds can be evenly distributed on it. Depending on the seeds and residual moisture of the coconut mat, the material is moistened 1 to 2 times a day. Care should be taken to ensure that the seeds do not float. It is recommended to drizzle the seeds or spray with an atomiser to avoid this. However, the moisture of the underlay should be checked in this watering process so as not to risk drying out. Especially for beginners, the cultivation method without soil is worthwhile, as no special and expensive equipment or materials need to be procured. This cultivation method is particularly recommended for seeds that form a layer of mucus, such as cress and linseed. You cannot choke by this method by overflowing water, but draw the required liquid from the water reservoirs of the coconut fibre. Coconut fibre mats are also used in the professional cultivation of cress and sprouts (microgreens). Tip: check out our hemp scissors. With this you can easily cut the mats to size. Made in Germany.
