Second one I bought!
I love this wand! I bought my first one 10 years ago and it just died! I was surprised it was still available to buy but so excited! I don’t mind the no temp control as I have crazy thick hair and the heat helps. My curls will literally stay in for days. I love the glove as it helps a lot. At the beginning it took a few tries to figure out how to not burn myself, but that I feel like was a error on my part! Also super happy it’s cheaper then 10 years ago! I paid over $100 for this wand.

Super effective and quick for long/heavy/coarse hair
I needed a curling iron for an event and was SUPER skeptical because in the past curls have never really stayed in my hair over the course of an evening without tons of cement-like product. I have hair down to my waist and it is super thick/coarse and heavy. And i have a lot of it (a blowout takes a full two hours and my hair's not curly). Final liability: criminal laziness (I airdry my hair every day and use a hairdryer / heatstyling products / flatiron once every 6 months, maybe.By my third use of this iron I'd learned I can go from plugging in the iron to out the door with full head of awesome beachy waves/ loose curls (the Gisele hair look) in literally <10 minutes (yes I have timed it!). The barrel on this heats up super quickly, maybe because it's not a huge diameter. I divide all my hair into only 9 kind-of-thick bundles-- 2 bottom left, 2 bottom right, 2 upper left side, 2 upper right and sort of one at the crown -- and I wrap each bundle all the way down the barrel w one hand while holding the iron vertically with the other hand. Hold each segment for 20-30 seconds. Swap hands to get the sections on the other side of head.Bottom line: I personally get better results than with a >$100 salon iron, and SO fast. I think wrapping more hair around a smaller super hot barrel is really effective -- much more so than smaller segments around a bigger barrel -- for both hold as well as look. It did take 2 botched initial tries (if your segments are too small you end up with cheesy ringlets), but once i worked out the right amount of hair to wrap each time pass of the iron, i get amazing bouncy loose curls and waves that last all day with ZERO holding product.

Love Herstyler!
Works great for long lasting curls. We started using this when my daughter was a competitive dancer. It worked 1000x better than much more expensive alternatives - without damaging her hair or requiring lots of spray to maintain the curls. Always ask a dancer!

Great, but extremely hot.
Okay, I really like this wand. It does a great job. The glove is great too! I no longer use it, but it is wonderful to have when you are learning how to use it because the wand is crazy hot! There is no way to adjust the temperature and it gets way hotter than is healthy for your hair. I turn it on and off during use to modulate the temperature. It heats very quickly. I turn it on, wait a minute, do a couple of curls, turn it off, do a couple more curls, turn it back on and so on. Did you see the YouTube video where the girl uses a similar hair tool and her hair comes off in her hand because it was too hot? Yea, you could definitely do that with this. If you are willing to manage the heat, this is a great product for the price. If not, I would suggest buying an adjustable wand so you don't damage your hair.

Great for the price!
If you're familiar with curling wands, this is easy to use and it does come with a glove. It heats up quickly and is lightweight. It also has the swivel cord so it doesn't get tangled.I find that my curls stay reasonably well with it (unless its very humid) - they always relax over time, my hair is a little past my shoulders- with little to no product. Usually, I spray heat protectant on each section before wrapping my hair, which tends to create better hold than if I don't. If I hairspray after curling each piece, I get better results as well. On average, I have to hold my hair on the wand approximately 10 seconds to get my curls to last a bit longer. After sleeping on my curled hair, it's essentially just wavy in the morning, which works too, but I usually have to retouch at least the front pieces.I had a 19mm NuMe before - had purchased it via Groupon - and I have to say this is generally less effective. I'm not sure if it's the extra 10 degrees that the NuMe heats up (this one gets to 400, the NuMe gets to 410) or perhaps the amount of ceramic/tourmaline differs in each - but the NuMe keps my curls better, with less time spent holding my hair on the wand, with less frizz, and they stayed almost perfectly overnight with no product at all. HOWEVER - I had the NuMe for about 8 months and it suddenly stopped working (hence my purchase of this item since they seemed nearly identical), so that was a big downfall.Overall, if this was the only wand I'd ever used, I think I'd be pretty happy with it. Also, it was cheap, and you can't beat that! If you're willing to spend a little extra time and hairspray by section you should get a great result!

Very very pleased!
I have been in the market for a curling wand for a long time. I am very careful what I buy on Amazon. I always read reviews and look at ratings before buying anything. I did see a lot of mixed reviews on this curler but thought I would take the plunge. What eventually swayed me to buy it was the price. It arrived today, I love that it's purple! (My favorite color!) and I just used it for the first time and I am beyond pleased with this product. It does look and feel a little cheesy, possibly made with cheap plastic. But it got the job done. I have very thick and long hair and it has always held curls very well, it just took a very hot iron to make it that way. I have a Remington curl perfect which I bought because I saw it in Seventeen magazine ~5 years ago. But I outgrew it because of how thick my hair was. It was taking me easily an hour and half to do my hair. With this wand I curled 75% of my hair in ~15 minutes. It's great! Exactly what I was looking for! If you want a super hot iron that is at a good price, look no further! The only thing I would say needed improvement was1.I wish it had a temp on it2. I wish it came with a better glove. I didn't burn myself but I can already see the holes forming in between the fingers and I've only taken it off 3 times. 🤷🏼♀️
