Decent camera, but why the shoddy ASP-based web interface?!
This is a decent camera; looks good physically, gives a decent picture quality at full resolution without excessive delay on the stream. Worked first time with Blue Iris CCTV and with ONVIF management tools. On the downside, the web user interface is as old as the ark! Written in ASP (vintage 2000-ish?) and can only be accessed on Internet Explorer, where it wants to install an application. This is completely out of touch with even vaguely-modern browser security standards! HikVision, you need to sort that out and replace the UI, ASAP!Also, it starts with a fixed IP address rather than using DHCP, so you have to manually configure a PC in order to talk to it, or install HikVision's SADP tools.Set-up gripes aside, I'm liking the camera and pleased to find a decent-quality basic camera for a good price; where the more advanced features don't matter, it's a good alternative to the HikVision-branded models from the same stable.

Not bad
Good daylight image, below average nighttime image.

Great during daylight, poor quality at night.
Great picture quality during the day and wish it was better during the night. Night bw quality is just blury and ugly soft, yes all the resolution maxed up and yet it is not any better or perhaps even a little worse than my old 2mp camera. Good is that this camera is exactly as promises true 2.8mm lense. Wish I had purchased a little bit better one in regards of night vision.
