This is the perfect resource for anyone responsible for setting up for and executing Catholic liturgies or para-liturgies. The book covers the entire liturgical year, with very clear instructions on what is to be prepared, where items should be located before the liturgy begins, how many clerics, etc, are needed, and what to do if the Bishop presides.

As you go through the Roman Missal, you quickly understand that information is somewhat scattered: Roman Missal, GIRM, various other documents that were published as clarifications, etc. Wouldn't be nice to have everything in one place, including the sacristan's manual on the preparations - no more jumping around the books, making annotations with pencil, one book to cover it all... in fact, there is such a book.

An excellent and knowledgeable resource for planning the ceremonies of the liturgical year in the Cathedral Church and in any parish! A valuable reference for any priest, master of ceremony, sacristan, and anyone involved in liturgical planning who wish to faithfully understand and follow the Church's intentions and rubrics in the carrying out of its Divine Worship. This will become a classic text for the reformed Liturgy of the Ordinary Form as promulgated by Pope Benedict XVI.

Good interpretation of rubrics. The downside is it has not been updated for the third edition of the roman missal.
