Wonderful curler for my unruly hair
LOVE this curling cream SO MUCH. First, it smells delicious - very important! Second, it is this white creamy consistency that does NOT, I repeat does not, weigh your hair down. I put on about 2 TBSP on my hair and it still felt wonderfully flowy without feeling weighed down by product. It's excellent price for the amount of product. Well-packed. Arrived right on time. The reviews were great. I use it to curl my hair on the 2nd-3rd day after styling it straight AND I use it when I come out of the shower, towel dry and don't want to style with a blow dryer so I just add it to damp hair. LOVE The Roots Naturelle Curly Hair!

Curl activator creates bouncy curls but not gentle on fragile hair
I am a white woman with longish hair past my shoulders. On a good day it's like Shirley Temple. On a bad day it's like Pattie LaBelle circa 1985. It looks great when freshly shampooed, but shampoo destroys my hair, as does conditioner, as does the dozens of other products (including homemade) I have tried before finally settling on plain water rinse, as infrequently as possible (one a week in the winter), which leaves my hair a tangled mess and nary a curl in sight. So I tried using Bouncy Curl as a conditioner, knowing that I can't leave any styling product on my hair as it's too fragile. After rinsing my hands, I put a dollop on my palm and lightly spread it through my hair, rinsing it off immediately. Then I let my hair dry naturally. It does just what it says. Once my hair was dry (using a tee shirt instead of a terry cloth towel to minimize breakage), I had bouncy curls, and scrunching gave them more lift. The curls lasted a couple of days but then I re-activated them with my clothing steamer (since my hair, unlike most curly girls, loves humidity). It's now been a 6 days since I used the product and I still have bouncy curls. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that I did have some breakage when I used a pick to comb through it when dry. There are some ingredients my hair doesn't like that causes breaking (but that is my fussy hair - it doesn't like anything, not even plain coconut oil). I'm going to try Kinky Curly custard, as I checked their ingredient list and I think my hair should be okay with it.Bouncy Curls probably works even better as a styling product but I was using it more like a co-wash. It does activate the curl and I imagine it works even better on African or mixed-chicks hair. But it works pretty well on European hair. Try it if you have curly hair that isn't prone to breakage.

Great Product. Will be trying the Virgin Hair Fertilizer soon
I purchased this product for my son and my daughter. They are both Multi Racial. They are African American, Irish, German, and Indian. Their hair is very difficult to deal with as it locks and becomes very unmanageable. I tried this One time on my son and it worked wonders. His hair is turning red so it not only brought out his natural curly hair it brought out the color in his hair. It is soft and shinny, and it detangles his hair in one use. I just rub it on the outside first, then began to part their in medium parts and apply to hair. I leave it on for 5 minutes to soften and detangle then I can comb through their hair without any problem. Thanks

I like it, but leaves white specs in myhair.
This is a nice product. It is just what I was looking for. Granted, it does not leave your hair soft after the day is over; however, it does give me the wet look that I wanted.I am a girl of color, and have spiral curls. I wanted the wet look without having any chemicals in my hair. This product enhances my curls, and keeps the style ALL day. Thanks Amazon for offering this! Without prayer and Jesus' help, I would not have found this!Thank you to all the people that left reviews. Also please, I have tried many products. I am willing to pay for a product that WORKS for me. This a product that gives me what I wanted. If you want softness, I recommend KeraVada Creme Brulee. I have tried all the products in this line, and the Creme Brulee is the that works for me. It keeps my hair soft. This Bouncy Curl does not hydrate the hair, but it is like a gel that hardened. Again, gives my 4a hair the wet look. Will be looking for other products that are more natural before I buy this again. Thanks for reading!

I also put less in the front because when it dries it tends to look like it is still wet if I put too much
It helps settle down my hair. (My natural curls tend to get frizzy, especially in humid weather). With this product, I towel dry my hair, get a small amount of gel using two fingers, rub it on all my fingers, comb my hair with my fingers, and then let it dry naturally. It works well. If there are some areas that still are too frizzy when it dries, I just re-wet that part of my hair and put some more gel in it with my fingers, and it works. I tend to use small amounts of gel and then just add where needed. I also put less in the front because when it dries it tends to look like it is still wet if I put too much. If that happens, then I comb that part when it's dry and that helps make it look dry and soft like the rest.
