The best you can buy for novice use
Krytox is straight up the best line of lubricants you can buy. The lower viscosity oil products (100 - 105) work well in many applications. I've used 105 to lubricate keys on membrane keyboards, 100 to lubricate mechanical keyboard switches, 100 to lubricate the bearings on a Logitech M570 trackball mouse... the list goes on. The grease products work well for larger applications like cabinet hinges.I tracked down some hard-to-find 100 because I was obsessed with having THE lowest viscosity Krytox possible, but it worked just as well as 105 in my applications. So unless you have a specialized industrial application, Krytox 105 will likely work just fine for novice use - which is good news because it's much cheaper than 100.

The ONLY approved stuff for a VW EOS roof.
This is the ONLY approved stuff for a VW EOS roof. If you use normal silicon based lubricants on the roof seals on the retractable hardtop on any model year of the VW EOS convertible drop top they will damage the rubber seals by making dirt and dust particles stick to the seals. This stuff is very expensive to purchase and should be applies every summer to keep the roof working smoothly. This is the same PTFE lubricant VW buys to resell as a VW branded part in a bottle that is 2x larger than the VW part for the same price or higher. At this point in time if the roof fails because of a lack of proper required maintenance, the cost of a correct repair with needed parts and a roof alignment using the required alignment tools and a trained technician brought out to a VW dealer from their regional repair hub would cost more than the car is worth.if your roof leaks in rainy weather it may already too late to avoid a big repair bill and most VW dealers may no longer have anybody trained to work on the roof because the trained people have retired a long time ago. The complex work needed to keep a retractable hard top working is why new convertible cars have gone back to using soft tops.

Works great on my Volkswagen Eos.
I purchased this product to lengthen the life of the seals on my Volkswagen Eos hardtop convertible. When you apply it a little goes a long way in fact I was surprised at how well this stuff covered and soaked into the seals. I'm guessing that this little bottle will probably last 5 applications or so, which is a lot considering I put it on all of the seals on the car including the trunk seal which really isn't required but it's a similar rubber so why not. also is a person who tends to drive older cars I think this product would be fabulous for using to restore the seals on pretty much any vehicle.

Nice addition to 205G2
The product arrived without any physical damage or cosmetic imperfections. Before I start the review, I gotta say that selling Krytox 105 only in 1oz variation is kinda dumb. Reason for that is because most of the time, I don't need that much of this oil. Also Krytox 205G2 is being sold with 0.5oz, 2 oz variations, so why can't Krytox 105 be sold like that? Now, about the product itself. It is fantastic, works well with Krytox 205G2 and it can be used for pretty much any moving parts, be it plastic or metal. Used it with 205G2 to lube Gateron Yellow keyboards switches, ATH M-50X's plastic housings. Switches sound poppy and thocky, headphones move smoothly, and the annoying crackling noises are not heard anymore when I use them.Overall, this is solid product.

Real deal krytox
Sunroof was creaking and slow. This is the stuff that mercedes repackages, "special lubrication", for your sunroof and can be used on other bits.

Perfect for squeaky sunroof!
This is expensive, but it's totally worth it. I had a VERY squeaky sunroof on my 2015 MB C400. I coated the rubber seal all the way around and voila!...no more squeaking, at all!

VW EOS
VW wanted $4K to put a new roof on my 2012 Eos. This fixed the leak for $65. Funny VW used to sell it but they took it off the shelves.

great lube, terrible bottle
I've bought 4 or 5 of these that I recall. Pretty pricing things. The lube is amazing, the bottle is super checp and always breaks close to the top, resulting in spilled lube that is $$$$. You need to be hyper careful with the top where the needle goes into the bottle, Every single one I have had has broken. I more recently ordered one with the snub nose top. It is more robust, but lacks the precision of the hollow needle tipped gottle.
