I like the taste. It is the closest thing to sugar and the body can't digest it so no calories. Packets are easy to keep in your pocket or purse. It is pricey but I think worth it

Xylitol is the closest thing to sugar that I have found, but it's much better for you and comes with benefits like fighting plaque in your mouth. My dentist even recommended it. I have tried a variety of brands, but keep coming back to Health Garden for the value, convenience (I love the packets that I can put in my purse), and taste.

I have been using Xylitol for years as a substitute for regular cane sugar. It tastes just like regular sugar but is very low glycemic and virtually no calories. The brand I was buying at the health food store went out of business so I tried this and was not disappointed. This is made from birch which is the preferred Xylitol.

Although the taste was not unpleasant, it was not as sweet as the xylitol product I had been using for years, which is presently unavailable on Amazon. I did, however, find the smell so unpleasant that I discarded the product after sampling one packet. In fact, I actually had to deodorize the plastic storage container I was using because of the lingering odor. And I did not notice any product description information regarding 9.5 calories per packet, compared to zero calories in the product that I used previously. To be fair, there was a money back guarantee, IF RETURNED, but I was unwilling to take the time or the effort involved with that task.

I like this product, very tasty and great with coffee. Why 3 stars? Well, my last purchase contained 9 empty packets. That's right - 20% of the packets did not have any sweetener in them. I searched the box for a telephone number or email address I could call to report the empty packets but, surprise, no contact information whatsoever. I'm disappointed at the lack of quality control and customer service.

I got these today and could hear the granules rattling in the box. So I opened them and dumped them into a bowl. There was probably a tablespoon of granules in the bottom of the box. Each individual wrapped packet is in a very, very thin paper packet compared to Xylo Sweet brand. I was given some of those by a friend and the packets were much sturdier. However, I wanted to get only birch xylitol, which I what I had been using in the bulk type for cooking. I wanted these for travel and will most definitely have to carry them only in a Ziploc bag or I might end up with xylitol down in my purse or tote bag.I like the fact that they are birch xylitol and that is why I bought them. But don't throw these down in your purse or carry in your pocket since the packet is very flimsy.

Full size 6g packets. Easy to open and recycle paper packets. Pure xylitol..no other added sweeteners. Difficult to find so I bought two bulk boxes. I like the packets to keep in purses and to go bags. Packets also manage portion sizes.
