Best waterproof lightsafe fountain pen ink at this price
Love this ink, I use it all the time as an artist. It dries really quickly, has rarely if ever clogged pens (those it has had an issue with drying out anyway - eh Noodlers?) and is totally waterproof as I use it for watercolour work.Sure there are darker inks - R&K's own Dokument is a better version of this with ISO rating, but in my lightsafe tests Sketchink holds up - 6 months in a UK window over that glorious summer of 2020 - but unless you go for Hero 234 chinese ink, which is cheaper but wetter and takes an age to dry, this is probably the best bang for buck FP ink wise. It's not Platinum Carbon Black, but it's not Carbon black eye-watering prices either! It's fairly black, and you won't notice the difference on it's own - but if you put it against Dokument or Indian Ink you will notice the difference. It also shades really well in washes, it does have a slightly purple tone. Also R&K don't say this, but you can mix the various Sketchinks if you want a cheaper alternative to DeAtramentis Document, which I find rather watery, if indeed slightly blacker - but not as much as Dokument, actually. This is for the artists who actually create things and need a fast drying working ink, rather than people who buy an ink every blue moon and pose with the bottle on Instagram to show off!P.S. I've no idea what 'Sheerness' is? I can't rate that.

Waterproof? I think not!
I don't understand how so many reviews and the manufacturer claims on website and the ink bottle itself all say it's waterproof. I did a line drawing of street scene in Cuba. Went to paint over in watercolour and the ink instantly ran ruining my artwork. Previously used Unipin fine liners which are waterproof as advertised. Very disappointed and a complete waste of money in my opinion.

great for drawing - doesn't block fountain pen
Lovely to draw with, doesn't block the fountain pen, even though it is permanent/waterproof.

Definitely waterproof
I wanted some quality ink for my Fude 55’ pen for drawing. I then wanted to do watercolour washes over it. I followed what other reviewers have said, and made sure I let it dry, and it was perfect. Would recommend.

Great ink for sketching
It's very difficult to find a waterproof, black enough ink that works in a fountain pen and doesn't take long to dry. This one does it all! Thank you!

Waterproof
Great ink for sketching, dries fast and is waterproof so no problem using watercolor.

Nice tone but dries up fountain pen nib
The ink is nice and rich. It is waterproof so that's great. However, this does dry up the nib so I need to 'prepare' my pen every time I want to use it. I have to rinse it out and refill to get it to work. I find this very annoying. Honestly, if I knew all this before I purchased it I don't believe I would have bought it! I thought the fountain pen was faulty at first. In fairness it is mentioned in the description but I didn't think it would be this painful.
