The only journal I use....
I've been using the LEUCHTTURM1917 A5 notebooks for years and it's the only one I'll use. The size is ideal for travel and the quality is outstanding. I use mine daily for meeting notes and one typically lasts me 9-12 months. They hold up so well. The paper quality is fantastic. Print quality is consistent throughout the notebook. The page color makes for easy reading and the ink just glides across the pages. Not sure what I'll do if they ever stop making these.

The journal that can do just about anything
This is the 3rd time I've purchased from leuchtturm, and I continue to love their products. I do many things in these journals, they are so versatile. The gridded paper makes it easy to make bujo layouts, do pages of writing, or just unstructured doodling. I carried one of these everywhere I went for 3 years, and the cover scuffed a little here and there, but never broke or came apart. The back pocket is so handy, and I love the page marking ribbons. My only complaint about this journal is how thin the paper is. I would love it if this journal was 90 gsm, the 80 gsm paper ghosts just a little too much for my wetter pens and pretty much any marker. Great for pencils, but leave the watercolors and gel pens for a different journal.

These are my new gotos over Moleskine notebooks
I like everything about these notebooks. They're quality constructed and clearly reflect the preferences of avid notebook users. I like the dotted versions and love having the pages numbered, table of contests pages, two page ribbons, and a pouch for pages and notes. The pages feel like they will stay put with the sewn binding, yet they lay flat enough to easily write on. Plus the pages are thick enough to manage a fountain pen well without bleeding through. Highly recommended!

Great journal brand
I like this brand over others. I started journaling a few years ago, and I use this brand for new additions. It feels like quality. I live the dotted pages for my projects. I priced a few places….and found this price consistent with other vendors online and in stires. My only complaint is that it didn’t come in an envelope or box. It was sealed in plastic, however. It just seemed odd to have it sitting there on my snowy porch without better protection. That’s why I gave my review 4 stars.

numbered pages
while there are copies of this journal which are half the price, the feature that the Lectthurm journal has is the table of contents and numbered pages. As you fill your journal, it is easy to build your table on contents and easily find the notes you made. paper does not let ink bleed through, so you can use every page, elastic seems pretty good so far, and as I add pages and notes, usually tuck a pen in the book too, so that is important. Cover has a good feel, and the color offerings are very good. I use these for notes and some sketches, for pure drawings i might choose a heavier paper journal- but if there will be a lot of writing or need to hold a larger body of thoughts- this is one i have found to be most useful!

It just works better than cheaper books
I was doing bullet journaling in composition notebooks before I bought this. Cheap notebooks were fine for awhile because I wasn't sure what kind of set-up I wanted. After I got used to the process, I found myself craving better quality paper and a pre-made grid so here I am.Having this is nice. It's sturdy and pretty, the dot grid makes tracking a lot easier, and since ink is less likely to show through the paper I get more use out of the back-sides of pages than I used to.
