Did a little research and purchased this to remove 7ppm Iron from my water. Iron was turning shower orange and you could smell it in the water. This brought it down to nothing and no more orange shower. Water treatment company wanted to charge me 6k to replace water filter system when all it needed was new filter media. Put a new back flush valve and recharged system for around $600. Very happy with the systems performance now.

I did a favor for neighbor who the well water co. Quoted $2,400.00 for additional tank to remove ferric iron. I ordered Brim, put it in the existing sand filter ($85), whamo, he keeps showing up saying the water has never been better. I can't wait to do my system

This Birm seems to be just fine. The bags are sturdy. I have it in my iron filter and it is doing its job. I would buy it again the next time I need a media change.

Poor quality!
Poor quality...does not work at all! Buy the best quality for your softener. We have an iron filter, so this was only for our softener system and the old worn out stuff we had on it was working better than this!
