Crafter's Companion Gemini Foilpress Machine Hot Plate,White

Haven’t used it yet, but I plan to use it a lot

My first hot plate cracked going through my Gemini crafters companion 1 time with the extender plate. Very disappointed . They really need to specify this is really intended for the Gemini Junior and stop the headache from the get go. The company is sending me a new hot plate and extender plate . That was over 10 days ago. Got tired of waiting and bought a Gemini Junior and new hot plate so I could craft in the mean time and not crack the plate . Shelled out a ton of money! Buyer beware. Bigger is not always Better . Silly me ! Now If the company can send me my uncracked under warranty hot plate I would appreciate it . That way I will now have an extra since the cracked one is garbage and ready for either the trash or for me to send it to them waiting on directions but all they said is that they will replace it . Oh and “I should have held onto the two plates as they went into the machine” like a scolding . My reply “I did since the extender plate doesn’t attach it just randomly lays ontop , when it got to the die it jumped in the machine sliding the extender plate and hot plate and came out the other end cracked . I can’t stick my fingers through the machine how much do you want me to hold it !?” I didn’t get a reply but I’m not a moron don’t assume it is an operators problem. It’s a design error in my opinion .

Placed this order to see if my hot plate on the original machine was defective. YEP, this one works great.

I love my FoilPress and when Crafter’s Companion announced they were discontinuing the machine I panicked. So I started buying the heating platforms as backups because they warp. I have since learned they have reintroduced the machine at a higher price without some of the extras it came with originally…and the new plates still warp. So turns out to be a marketing ploy. I’ll stick with my original machine and the backup plates I ordered.

Was so happy to know I could get a replacement hot plate for my Gemini Foilpress as I have used it so much the past 3 years that it was getting pretty worn. I bought two hot plates so I can trade off when doing big projects. Much better production because I can set up one while the other heats and goes through the Gemini Jr. die machine.

I got this as a back up for my Gemini Foil Press, always good to have an extra hot foil platform. Very fast shipping, very pleased.

Got one with even temperature. Glad to have a spare.
