Beautifully finished heavy brass construction. This is a quality product and a great addition to our herb garden as a replacement to an old sundial with a missing gnomon.

I didn't think it looked like the picture on Amazon so I contacted the seller. They sent the pic my gift-ee sent me of the product which they received. This was the reply from the manufacturer...Thanks for writing. This sundial has our two tone verdigris finish with polished highlights. Every sundial is hand finished and the depth and amount of Verdigris color ranges from dial to dial to give it a more natural feeling. The raised parts are then polished to create a contrast. The photo is within the range of verdi color that may be on the dial. If the customer is looking for less Verdi color on the recessed area they could use a chamois cloth or brass polishing cloth and rub away the Verdi finish. Over time the Verdi is going to fade and darken as the brass naturally ages and develops it’s own patina. I now understand why it looks different and was fine with it. It is a very nice brass sundial. I would buy this item again. Hope this helps you decide if the product is right for you.

I gave this for a 50th Anniversary gift. I didn't originally buy the base, but went back to purchase because flat on the ground looked "off." Good quality!

This is really nice - a bright blue bird and polished brass numerals, Father Time, letters etc. make this Very Attractive. It's a nice size and good weight and having the quarter and half hour marks will be useful.It'll need polishing to keep it looking as is, but even if it becomes 'weathered' it will retain it's beauty since it's made of brass.One of the roman numerals is different that normal, but the photo online clearly shows it as such so it was as expected and makes no difference to its function.A great addition to any garden and sure to become a focal point.
