Straight up: Ear Candy!
Taken from my review of the L/Rs of the same model:KEF knocked it out of the park with these bad boys!First let me say that I am a very serious audiophile. I have worked in pro audio (both studio and live performance), and I can tell you the bitrate of an MP3 by ear. I also take my music and movies very VERY seriously. However, the wife didn't want big huge speakers on the floor of the family room or stuck on the walls, and the construction of our house prevented me from doing in-wall speakers. Flat panel speakers were the only real option other than just using the TV speakers (her idea) which is completely unacceptable, right? So, when building out my "designer" home entertainment system, I was expecting to have to make some sacrifices in the quality of my soundstage. KEF had other plans though...To be fair, these simply are not full range speakers, nor are most home theater speakers on the market. They NEED a subwoofer and a good one at that. The only weakness (as is to be expected) is in the lows and low-mids. However, when paired with an appropriate subwoofer (one that is comfortable up to 100Hz) and a decent receiver/amp, the sound out of these speakers is simply AMAZING. They perform flawlessly up to reference levels on both music and movies. Their sound is flat, balanced, and very accurate. The soundstage they throw feels massive. Their power handling is great and can accurately reproduce all 90 watts of discreet amplification that my Denon puts out. I have yet to hear them clip or distort on anything that I've thrown at them from EDM to acoustic to cinema. I think they really shine brightest when watching a live music blueray. The bank escape scene in "Heat" also reached a new level of awesomeness when heard on these speakers. They simply blow me away.I have a hard time believing that anyone would be disappointed with these speakers. Oh and did I mention that they're flatter than a pancake and look really sexy? Yeah, that too.For reference:Denon AVR-1712KEF T301, T301C, and CI160SRSVS SB12-NSD

Really good for size
Good quality sound, though ultimately limited by depth. Clear but very local sound. Easy to install with well thought out template provided.

A bit pricey, but a great low-profile center channel speaker
I needed a very low profile center channel speaker to mount on a stone brick wall for my 5.1 setup. They're a bit expensive, but this KEF T301C and the MartinLogan Motion SLM seemed like the only real choices available. Despite some of the reviews of audio quality, I took a chance on this and after calibrating my receiver and hooking it in, I'm extremely happy with the results. It sounds absolutely great when calibrated well (small speaker, specific SW crossover amounts, etc). I chose the KEF over the MartinLogan because I liked the way the KEF looked, and it was slightly smaller overall, but particularly in depth.

Thin, good sound quality, and excellent off-axis response.
The speaker with the supplied prop support fits very nicely on my fireplace mantel There was no need to mount it to the wall. It centers the sound very nicely on my monitor which is mounted above my fireplace. The sound is very good considering how thin this speaker is. The sound is on the bright side but seemed to warm up somewhat after breaking in. The speaker is best complemented with a warm sounding receiver. In my case, I drive it with an Onkyo TX-NR838 and I'm very satisfied with the overall sound. One of its significant advantages is how well it disperses the sound in a wide area. There is no discernible change in sound quality as I move around the room. There is no "sweet spot" that I'm limited to. The sound is uniform regardless of where I'm at. The slim bass drivers are flat and emulate the advantages of BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) drivers although KEF doesn't claim this. Coupled with their vented tweeter utilizing their "Tangerine" wave guide, this speaker is an excellent choice for off-axis listening. The speaker is highly recommended for its versatility, sound quality, and excellent sound dispersion

Great on-celling speakers!
Got a pair of T301C mounted on the corner of celling as atmos celling speakers of my 7.2.6 system. They look and sound great. This is the best solution when you can't install in-celling speakers or wife doesn't want you to hang bookshelfspeakers on wall/celling.

Banana connectors do not work
I follow the directions and hooking up the speaker. However the banana speaker connectors that are supposed to work, do not fit because of the angle in the connection. The only other thing I can figure is to stick the bare wires in and use a jewelers screwdriver.

Good in-wall alternative
Good looking design, slim profile, and sounds good too. I couldn't get an in-wall for a center speaker because of my wiring, so I bought this center channel. Everyone who sees it and hears it say how much they like it.

Just Okay
Size was great. Flat as my TV, not big and cumbersome like other center channels in its price range. Looks great under my 60" flat screen.Ultimately you but speakers for the sound and this KEF just doesn't cut it. Hollow and flat like some under $100.00 set. Advertising did a great job of exaggerating the quality. Still, I wasn't out much money, looks great so I'll live with them for awhile before upgrading. Lesson learned, hear before you buy...
