If they're uncomfortable and painful, then there's too much cushion. However, if I apply the sponges to the mold of my toes and install in the same manner inside my shoes, my toes are comfortable and theres no ache or bother. Also, they do the job- helps big shoes fit nicely. It's nice because mg elephant feet need comfort inside flats. Now i love wearing flats because my little toes won't be in any pain.

I have a small sized foot and have a hard time finding shoes that fit, I usually end up having shoes that are a half size bigger. I purchased these Shoolex inserts as well as the Xianews inserts and the Povihome Toe Pouches. The Shoolex inserts are soft so when you walk there's a little 'give' which makes the shoe fit more naturally. They work best in flats or heels. I also liked the Toe Pouches for boots. The Xianews inserts were too firm.

This product saved 2 shoes that I ordered online . The shoes were too big and this filler helped so much ; it is uncomfortable in the beginning but u get used to it .

Really poor quality... tried all three different sizes in the front of my boots and my toes just squished into them. I would be better off just stuffing tissues in the front of my boots like we did when we were kids. Had I not thrown away the packaging I would be returning them.

Returned because the material was too flimsy. It was not doing the job. A stronger rubber/silicone would do the job.

My daughter is an avid alpine skier. Last winter her big toenails took such a beating that they turned black and fell off. She was looking for a thin cushion of high density foam, and these seem great. She’s used them a couple of times and is much more comfortable.

Not a perfect solution to an oversized Chelsea boot but a pretty darn good one. I picked up a pair of Thursday boots and quickly noticed that my feet kept sliding to the front and my little and big toe would get blisters. To my surprise after a short day, my previous issues had vanished. My feet no longer slid farward and as someone else mentioned in a review, these quickly become foot cushions. How long they'll last is another story. Generally, for boots, these are great and serve as a nice last ditch effort before considering throwing out or selling your boots.
