Great that you can purchase a large quantity. Garlic is good for the fish and you can add it to the food. I refill the smaller container with this big jug

Keeps My Discus Fish Disease Free
This is such a great product. Being garlic, it is not only a fish attractant, but it wards off alot of parasites, such as hole in the head disease, and keeps bacterial infections from statrting. I believe there are already in existence, small numbers of these tiny animals, living in check, and balanced by each other in the gut, coexisting, but as soon as your fish are stressed in some way, the immune system suffers, and then up pops an overgrowth of something. You can do partial water changes every day, but it can still happen. I learned that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. I soak my frozen spirolina brine shrimp in garlic until thawed in the morning and my frozen blood worms at night in (about 1/2 tsp.) Garlic Guard along with frozen cooked shelled blended peas. They also get live blackworms at night. Now my Discus fish are 6"-7," full of healthy vitality and never sick, and I know the garlic has ALOT to do with it. in fact, they haven't had anything serious since I started using it

Me personally don’t care for the smell but I don’t eat it. My fish love this stuff and a bonus it has vitamin c. Great stuff

Great product for my saltwater tank
This was recommended to me by my local fish store. It helps to boost the immune system of the fish. I soak my frozen food in tank water in a small cup. I add a few tablespoons of garlic and let it soak the food as it thaws.My order today arrived with no cap on the container. The opening has an aluminum seal and there were no leaks, but I have no cap. Will use the cap from my old jug, luckily I haven’t tossed it yet.

Garlic scent sets the stage for food...my discus & angels love it!I soak the pellets in Garlic Guard for a few minutes and feed them to the fish.It has been reported that it boosts fish defenses, so that is an important bonus.
