Simply the best looking grass topped off with best value!
This grass is amazing! First we bought a really expensive bag with coated big blue seeds from HomeDepot - it grew but the bag was around $50 and covered no more than 10 square feet. In addition, the HD modified grass seeds came to be light yellowish green grass, which looks like it's dying, so I am not a big fan. I am happy though that I found the Jonathan Green natural grass! It is dark green and super soft, yet very sturdy! I have become an expert at growing it by now!The first time was unsuccessful. I roughed up the dirt and put the seeds on top, almost all died and left me heart broken! The second attempt I mixed the dirt with the seeds and packed it in holes where I wanted it to grow. And Oh boy, did it grow! But it was too dense. So, my third attempt - I cleaned up two large areas - about 20 square feet each. Removed about about 2" of the top soil and everything that was growing (with a small hoe). Roughed up the dirt and cleaned up roots as best as I could, then put back some soil to fill the hole a little bit. Next, I sprinkled a little bit of the Jonathan Green Heavy Traffic Seeds and the JG Full Sun Seeds in the respective areas. I did not put much seeds, they were not on top of each other and one could see a lot of dirt around them. Then, covered the seeds with organic garden soil that I had bought at Costco. Just a light cover - almost like sprinkle the dirt but I made sure it covered the seeds to keep them moist. I watered daily and started to see seedlings in a week!!! Within 3 weeks my new baby grass had it's first haircut and did not get damaged from lawn mower going over it.My last method is my favorite! Covers a huge amount of area while being conservative with the seeds. The bag is still half full. These seeds are a great value! The key is to keep them moist while they are germinating and maturing. There is one more thing these seeds might do for you - make you proud of your amazing lawn that did not take any poisons to kill anyone!!! Just natural naturally grown beautiful grass!I wish these grass seeds come up higher in the Amazon search. I really had to dig to find it...

Great Grass Seed
Grass started growing by week 2. My dog has torn up our grass from running up and down and created a muddy mess. Grass has already started growing, worth every penny.

Slow growing but fills in nicely.
The backyard we re-did was completely infested with weeds so we decided to scrape it to bare soil and plant some heavy traffic fescue in the early spring. Took about 8 weeks to completely fill in and it is still maturing, some weeds came back through but that was expected and will be drowned out with a good weed and feed in the fall. Added some compost and manure on top of the raked seed and watered faithfully twice a day.

Great, hardy grass seed!
I purchased this grass seed in hopes of salvaging parts of my horrible back yard. When my husband and I purchased our home, the previous owners did not take care of the yard at all. It was filled with trash and most of the grass was gone.We have owned the home for 3 years now and the backyard looks great... except for the patchy spots. We have new grass growth through most of the yard, but there's a rather large patch that only fills with weeds. Every winter, when the weeds have died off, it leaves us with a bare dirt patch that looks awful, and gets really muddy every time it rains (we have two dogs, so you can imagine how fun it is to constantly clean mud off of them).I thought about buying some cheap bags of grass seed to see if that would help, when I came across this seed. The bag is affordable, so I figured it couldn't hurt to try to give it a go.The only reason I gave the product 4 stars is because you really need to follow the bag instructions to see maximum results. It isn't as simple as loosening the dirt, applying the seed, and watering a lot. The bag has other specific instructions that require more work and... more money out of your pocketbook.I wasn't interested in spending more money and putting up even more effort, so I just loosened the dirt, applied the seed, and watered regularly.I few weeks went by... and there was nothing. I kept watering anyway, and got annoyed with myself because I figured I probably wasn't going to get results with my 'easy way out' approach.BUTI watered the ground yesterday and... there is growth! I see little patches in ALL of the areas I applied. I am beyond excited. The areas I applied the seed are true high traffic areas (which is also why I chose to buy this product... I wanted to see if it would work), and the seeds are growing. So yes, it definitely works. Even if you take the easy way out like I did. But you will most definitely have better results if you follow the directions on the bag exact. I will definitely wait a few more weeks, then buy more of this seed to continue to fill in the SMALLER (yay!) patchy spots.

No Grass Grew.
Not one sprout of grass grew. I guess I should have ordered from Lowes or Home Depot.

Follow instructions and it works amazing
I used this on the area where the landscaper usually turns around on their sit-down mower and was constantly tearing up the grass. I planted this late September, blocked off the area for rest of cutting season and now, here in April, the lawn is incredibly thick, green and lush. It has never been this thick before. I also planted some by my kid's slide, and same thing... incredibly thick. This brand has always been successful for me.

Fairly Low germination rate
This grass seed has been a disappointment from a company I usually have good luck with. I did get some germination but far too little for the amount of seed I used.
