Works well standalone and with USB 3.0, not recognized when connected to a USB hub.
So far I've cloned some old HDs to SSD in standalone and accessed SSDs directly over USB 2 and 3 with no issues, but the hardware isn't ecognized at all when I connect it via a powered USB hub (which isn't an ideal setup anyway, but would be necessary to use it for everyday storage or routine backups with my desktop). Overall it's a very good budget option for non-critical backups and offline disk cloning so far.

Works as advertised!
I had a bit of an issue getting it working, but it was an error on my part, not the products. Once I figured out my mistake, it worked exactly as intended.

Drives go into permanent slumber.
I had intended to use this as a drive caddy for two drives using an external software-based Raid level 1. Windows 11 has the ability to do the raid function built in, and it's very nice. The caddy works fine for two drives, and the design is actually very nice as it holds the drives securely. However, it has a bug. When the drives sleep (as is the case with USB that isn't being accessed in a while); they don't wake up. You have to power cycle the unit to make the drives wake up. As such, it isn't usable for my intended purpose. I did not do any cloning because that was never my intention. Instead, I used a Wavlink two drive caddy which seems to perform well although the physical design isn't quite as nice.

Easy to use and nearly silent
To clarify, this is not a raid machine, so if you're looking for a mechanical raid system for raid 0 or 1, this doesn't have that. HOWEVER, it does have this neat mechanical copy feature where you just press a button and it copies all the files from one drive to another seamlessly. I recognize there is an inherent risk to this vs raid, but honestly, this works fine if what you're doing is relatively simple. If your goal is just to have a backup in case one drive fails, you can do that. Also interesting note, it's very quiet, which makes me happy because I work in a recording environment. Otherwise not a bad unit.

Randomly loses power, not reliable
Device randomly goes unresponsive, I have to press the power button to turn it back on, which doesn’t work because the drives are off-site. I’d return it if I hadn’t spent the return period troubleshooting why the drives weren’t staying connected. Don’t order this product, it’s not reliable.I think I found part of the issue— the drives I was using are WD red drives pulled from my home server, and they can draw up to 1.75A. Two of those overwhelms the power supply, which is shown as 4A in the listing but was only 3A as I received it. I’m stuck with it, so I’ll use it for data recovery I guess, but if it can’t handle the power draw of two drives reading and writing, the clone feature is useless, and connecting it to a pc is a risk if you value your data.

Great Docking Station!
I bought this Hard Drive Docking Station in order to house a couple of spinning drives which I took out from my old Mac Tower. Now that I am on my new Mac mini, I needed something solid where I wont feel the difference. And I am not! The thing is so solid! Also good looking with that gloss finish. It came in the nicest box too. Great manufacturing quality for the price (which is right)! I recommend it to everyone looking to dock up to two drives via USB 3.

I really like these- probably means they'll be discontinued.
I bought two of these a year or two ago, just bought a third. I was pretty sure it was going to work fine when I put it into service last night, and it does. Really smart way to use my shelf space. The only thing that's a bit weird is that they don't start up on their own when I reboot the mac-- I have to turn them off and back on again to get them to mount. And they seem a bit pricey, but you only live once I guess.
