I bought one of these years ago for my allotment. I now buy them for friends of mine who also grow their own food. One of the best tools for precision and accurate weeding when you are companion planting, and growing trailing veg such as courgettes. Make sure to check if owner is right or left handed.

This is proving to be a very useful tool when tidying up borders. It is easy to handle - not too heavy - digs out roots easily and the angle of the blade, allows me to drag the weeds towards me for easy removal / disposal. It doesn’t replace a trowel, but is an incredibly handy compliment to my birder hand tools.

Sometimes you just have to be weeding up close. I like to use a long-handled hoe wherever possible, but sometimes I need a bit more precision. For weeding our raised beds for example, this tool is perfect. In fact, I haven't yet found anything else that can get a close to this for fast and accurate weeding around lines of delicate veg.The blade when received was slightly rough in its finish, but a couple of minutes with a whetstone took off the burr and left a razor edge. There was almost no resistance as it sliced through small weeds and brought them to the surface.This is now my go-to tool for weeding in beds and borders.

A really neat too for weeding - use like a hoe but because it is a hand tool it is much easier to deal with small weeds and clear them from the surface of the soil. Beautifully made and a pleasure to use.

Bought to tackle those troublesome weeds. Cut through them with ease and managed to clear three beds in under an hour! This may have become my most favourite weeding tool! Quite sharp and feels comfortable in the hand. I'm left hand but oddly it still works for me in either hand.

Don’t hesitate to add one of these to your garden shed, perfect for raking out dead leaves, dandelions, general weeds etc etc so versatile
