Oak Infusion Spiral Barrel Aged in a Bottle Oak Infusion Spiral, Brown

I placed two of those spirals into a bottle of EarlyTimes whiskey. I was well shaking it several times. In 3 days the color of the whiskey in the bottle became much darker, the taste milder. For my tasteit improved considerably. But from economical point of view it didn't reach the taste of over $50 per bottle it grouw for ~ +12 $ i.e. as $30+per bottle.May be in several month the taste will reach much better point. Still it was an interesting experiment.

Wow !!! and wow !!! Again. I inserted this into the fine Grenada Rivers 69% 138 Proof clear Rum. Yes the airlines checked it as I boarded and approved since it was below the other Rivers which is much higher. Anyway... what come out after 10 days is to die for. Wish I had gotten more rum. Silky smooth unlike the original which really is to get drunk on. Now it is sippin quality. Really. Trust me. Yes I had a 500cc Bottle. Not the 750, Regardless it would work just keep it till the color is golden.

Not bad. I think it is over priced for a burnt stick of wood!!! It also could make the hooch darker but it is quite smokey. I think it is a better bet to just get bulk whit oak chips toasted or not and toast them your self and age your hooch in a large container. But this is a nice idea just too expensive. you get two uses out of them but the second use will be quite weaker.

We put this in bottom shelf bourbon. Had 4 men blindly test taste it after 2 weeks of sitting. 3 of 4 preferred the bourbon that had the spiral.However, I could have just saved the trouble and bought a better bourbon and not had to wait 2 weeks before drinking it.So... I guess... this product is just okay. Maybe if it were way cheaper, it would be worth it.

Works like it sais. I dropped it in a decent bottle of light rum and now three months later it tastes aged and relatively smooth. Im going to let it sit a bit linger before straining it but generally im very happy with the outcome.

Purchased those Oak Infusion Spirals to age whiskies and bourbons. Worked very well and delivered to expectations (of being infused in bottle...). Would definitely recommend them especially for people who like to experiment or can't afford wooden barrel at home.

I bought a $15 bottle of 190 proof EverClear poured half of it into another bottle and then topped it off with distilled water, broke the spiral in half and inserted it inside each of them, every 24 hours or so I rotated between freezing weather outside and inside in front of one of the furnace vents and in a couple weeks I had two $8 bottles that tasted like Makers Mark whiskey.

Product really works well.The finished product was tasty and appropriate. I did end up using (2) sticks to one 16 oz. bottle of product (160 proof) and it turned out amazing.You will have pieces of oak in your product, I used coffee filters in a funnel to clean up the spoils...not a big deal at all just part of the process.
