Frederic Malle is my new favorite over Tom Ford
My favorite parfums have been White Orchid and Noir Noir by Tom Ford. But I received Portrait of a Lady for Christmas and OMG! πat first scent. It smells so good on me and I feel so luxurious wearing it.Tom Ford's perfumes are edgy, in my opinion. I like some of them because they are so different. But Frederic Malle has such a gift w/ luxurious French perfumery- based on modern florals. Rose and patchouli supposedly describe Portrait of a Lady. But I would say that this is taken to another level. There is nothing cheap smelling about this parfum.This is not an inexpensive line of perfumes. Christmas time was a good time for savings and after Christmas, in January, were the best prices I found on Amazon for perfumes.Also, third party sellers on Amazon should be scrutinized. The third-party seller I bought from sent the real deal in the original, unopened box that displayed the legitimate batch code. I know of one other third party seller that is selling knock offs - so read the seller's reviews before purchasing something like an expensive perfume.

Product arrived timely and packaged for safe transport, however, the box was opened and it is an obvious return? Since perfume was sold at retail price I am on the fence for returning.Disappointed.

This is not the original version... or the formula has been changed. Super disappointed. I have purchased this a few times... I don't know if it was from this seller or not, but it was really lovely the other times I bought it and why I paid so much for it. It is a signature scent. I don't know what this is that I have in this bottle, but it is definitely a knock off.
