This tarp is really fantastic. It's exactly what we wanted to cover our deck pergola. Who needs pergola flaps for $125 when this tarp does a better job at covering our sitting area exactly, providing great shade, being sturdy and durable. We especially appreciate the grommets which allow us to securely fasten the tarp to the pergola with bungee cords. It's a quick matter of unhooking the bungee cords when we have to roll the tarp up quickly for high winds or stormy weather. I can't speak to the water resistance yet as it hasn't rained on the tarp yet, but it's canvas. It's heavy duty, too. So I suspect the water is going to roll right off. Very pleased with this excellent solution to our deck coverage problems.

Do you need a tarp to protect against most weather conditions save for hurricane or a blizzard? This will probably do it. It is extremely heavy, durable, and contrary to some other reviews in here, it is indeed waterproof. I used it to cover a pile of wood and yard waste for just under a month and it blocked rain and remained in place despite some heavy winds. If you need just a regular tarp for occasional, mundane use, you probably don't need this. But if you need something that you will be using a lot and need it to last, this will probably do it.

I've got three of these 8X10 canvas tarps. The first one I bought five years ago for a woodpile and it is still in great shape! Lasts a LOT longer than the plastic tarps which typically only last a year.

Early to add fifth Star but will add after this Hurricane Season that is around the corner. Currently being used to cover Solar Panels until ready to use to produce Electricity.

This tarp was exactly what I had expected pursuant to the sellers description. It is a little heavy, but a very good product.

Bought 4 of these to make a smoke shack outside to protect us from the winter weather. Was very worried when they arrived and were so much lighter than ones we had used b4. On that first cold wet night they proved to be awesome!! Not only did they keep the cold out but our sanctuary NEVER got wet on the inside even during tornadic rain storms. All of them folded up into a small box and took up little storage rm.
