It's a socket
Bought to fill an empty space in my box. It matches my set and all my other craftsman stuff is holding up good so I expect the same from this socket.

It's still a Craftsman tool
There is an assumption on my part that this socket is a Craftsman tool, is generally monolithic, and is just as good as the preceding 10 million of these they sold. And therefore this purchase "should" be fine. I used to own a lot of Craftsman tools until they changed the policy and quit standing behind them. But the tools are still good. They work great. They look good. The size is right, making the fit perfect. They look great and they were reasonably priced. I don't expect a replacement tool either. So it takes some of the risk out of it.
