Good replacement unit
Ordered this to replace a dead key fob, rendering the alarm system useless. It took a few tries to pair with the vehicle but, has been working flawlessly since getting it paired.

Instructions are not in the correct order
Once I figured out that the instructions were out of order it was pretty simple to connect it to my current system and considering all my local shops wanted around $200 to replace this remote and Amazon had it for about 75 I'm very happy I found it

Works great
The instructions;Setting it to work with my car were not at all helpful. Went on you tube and after reviewing about 4 different remotes; I found one that worked with my starter although not at all the one suggested.

Perfect replacement and simple programming.
The 7254V remote replaces the discontinued LE 2-way SuperCode remote control for the 4204v remote start. Removing the remote from the package requires a pair of scissors but takes a few seconds. However, do not throw the packaging away because the programming instructions are on the label. The remote has a rubber coating for easier gripping and should withstand drops on the floor. I recommend reading through the instructions a few times before attempting the programming because the steps are timed and in a specific order. Fortunately, the key fob was synced to the vehicle transmitter on the first try. In addition, multiple Youtube videos provide step-by-step guidance for particular models.

GREAT RANGE, BUT SEEMS PROGRAMMED TO FAIL
PURCHASED ON 7/2013 WITH A VIPER 4204V REMOTE STARTER.LONGEST RANGE REMOTE IN THE BUSINESS, BAR NONE! IT CAN BE USED WAY BEFORE YOU EVEN SEE YOUR CAR IN THE BIGGEST PARKING LOT.UNFORTUNATELY, IT'S NOT THE BEST QUALITY. EVEN THOUGH I KEEP MINE IN A 3RD PARTY FITTED LEATHER CASE ON MY KEY CHAIN, THIS REMOTE STARTED TO GIVE ME STRANGE CONFIRMATION FEEDBACK (LIGHTS, BEEPS AND CHIRPS) THAT WERE NOT CONSISTENT WITH WHAT WAS ACTUALLY HAPPENING. IT'S PERMANENTLY DOING THIS, NOT INTERMITTANTLY. ALTHOUGH THIS 7254V REMOTE STILL STARTS, LOCKS AND UNLOCKS MY CAR, I DECIDED TO BUY A NEW REMOTE AS A BACKUP IN FEBRUARY 2015 BECAUSE I JUST DON'T TRUST IT ANYMORE. AS OF 4/2015, I'M STILL USING IT THOUGH. THE NEW ONE IS KEPT IN THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT FOR WHEN THE TIME COMES.UPDATE 7/13/2016- I'M WELL INTO USING MY SECOND 7254V. MY FIRST 7245V FINALLY DIED ABOUT THE END OF 2015 (THAT'S ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF OF USE). THE REMOTE STARTER IN MY COROLLA IS STILL WORKING GREAT. I USE IT MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY TO PRE-START MY CAR.UPDATE 4/20/18- I'M SEEING A PATTERN... THESE 7254V REMOTES BEGIN HAVING ISSUES IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE 3RD OR 4TH BATTERY CHANGE. JUST LIKE MY 1ST 7254V, MY 2ND 7254V IS NOW STARTING TO DO ODD THINGS, LIKE INSTEAD OF STARTING MY CAR WHEN I PUSH THE START BUTTON, IT PLAYS A SONG WITH A LIGHT SHOW. SIMILAR TO MY 1ST REMOTE'S FAILURE, THIS COMES AND GOES, WORKING FINE, THEN NOT. THIS ODD BEHAVIOR BEGAN IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING A BATTERY CHANGE (MY BATTERY CHANGES GO FLAWLESSLY, AND I ONLY USE GOOD SONY LITHIUM 2032 CELLS), SO I'M WONDERING IF THE SOFTWARE IS PRE-PROGRAMMED TO DO THIS??? ILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON THE OUTCOME.UPDATE 1/27/21- NOW I'M CERTAIN OF IT. These 7245V Viper remotes are programmed to fail after a 4 battery changes. I had another 7245V fail after the 4th battery change. I am having a friend's electronics lab look for the chip's fault command that causes this. When found, we will inform BBB and spread the word everywhere it can be heard. One thing that "seems" to help keep the remote from going nuts is to make sure you have real good batteries, like Duracells and do the battery change fast, meaning have the new batteries stacked and waiting to be slid in under the battery contact immediately following removal of the old batteries. Also, if your speaker is not working correctly in your remote, sometimes you can spin it in its holder just enough to give the contact a new surface to connect to. This sometimes fixes speaker issues

On older models instructions provided may not work.
These worked for my fob:1. Push F button until the red transmit button lights solid ~10s2. Push remote start for 1.5s until you get 3 flashes.3. Car door open key on accessory, not started.4. Press windshield button once and release then once and hold ( get a single chirp) while still holding button push lock button on fob ( get brief alarm).5. Release the windshield button ( get brief confirmation alarm). These units are better than the original one I had. Case can be a bit tricky to split open to replace battery is the only down side.

I can’t get it to pair
I can’t seem to get my remote to pair to my DS4+ system. The app works fine, and I don’t know of any deficiencies. All the sources of information I have found online give me different pairing instructions.

Not quite right, but still worked!
I didn't actually receive what I ordered, but thankfully it was a compatible replacement and worked anyway, so I'm not going to bother returning it. Also, the tiny remote came packaged in a huge box - which I thought was a bit crazy :) It did arrive safe and sound though, so no big deal.
