Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F Unlocked Cellphone, International Version, Retail Packaging, White

The phone came in a sealed box and was definitely completely new. It was unlocked as expected, however branded to Vodacom (only noticable by the flash screen on startup). Not sure what that means for the warranty but I assume Samsung will honor their warranty no matter the original carrier. Since that is the only noticeable thing about it and it works fine with my SIM card, I don't care, but if it bothers someone, you'd have to root it to get rid of it. Another thing is that it came with an European charger and a cheap chinese adapter. I had some other Samsung chargers lying around, and bought it for Europe anyway, so I was happy about that. If you want to use it mainly in the US, you may want to get another Samsung charger.I used the phone in Dalvik for a while and noticed a significant improvement in speed after switching to ART. It turned hot briefly after the switch, but after that it ran smoothly and I had the feeling battery life improved also (although it was already great to begin with, it lasted 2+ days playing music, watching movies, using navigation plus mobile data and WIFI). I was at first worried that some apps would not run, but non of the apps had a problem, in fact, they almost uniformely ran better, except for the Kindle app which is incredibly slow for some reason and was from the beginning (did only try the Samsung version).Amazon music on the other hand runs perfectly.The design of the phone is beautiful, the colors of the screen are great and it is easily readable in bright sunlight. A joy to watch movies. I was also impressed with the sound quality of the included headphones. The camera makes great photos even in low light, and does not have the lag I had on my old phone. The front camera is gritty in low light, but that is to be expected. The fingerprint sensor works amazingly well. I have one on my HP laptop, and did expect the one on the phone would have the same problems with sweaty fingers, but it worked well even when I was biking.That said, it also works great as a phone ;).Overall, I'm very happy with this phone, and also with the seller. Delivery was speedy (arrived three days before the Amazon predicted date).I should mention that I got this phone from Top10Cell, since there are different sellers for this. As I said, Top10Cell was selling the African (Vodacom) model.

I was afraid they may send me a used phone, but the tag says NEW and it's still not activated yet, so I believe it's indeed new. When I first plug it into the charger, it said the battery is 65% already (so the battery is not fully empty?!). I got the product for Romanian market...so none of the manuals is printed in English, but I think I can always google when I need to know something about the phone. But as other reviews say, it may not have warranty in US. I had the phone for about a week and so far it works well. Love it!I think I need to edit my review...coz last nite the camera didn't work, and I remember it happens once or twice before. The screen went into black and after few seconds it says 'Camera failed'. I restarted it and it went back to normal. But still love the phone!

It's as just great as people say...The device comes with every component as if you had bought it in a fisical store...No problems using it in other countries...I advise people to get a case and a screen protector when buying the cell...I had a little problem with Amazon about the delivery... But Amazon's crew were very kind, helped me in every instant and I got my cellphone just perfect...They even got me a refund for the delivery method (that was not honored by the seller - I think) and a voucher because of the late on the delivery process.That's it I think... the product is amazing... I used to have an iPhone 5s, and was getting worried about my adaptation to the new operational system... but man! Android is just awesome! :))That's ir folks... hope helped someone in any way.Peace.

The software part is great. Only issue with it is the fact that they removed the thermometer, apparently due to an issue with the underwater feature. I don't plan on swimming with my cellphone anytime soon, and the thermometer feature was very useful as it let you know the actual temperature of the occupied space, as opposed to the general city temperature, but it might be a minor or irrelevant thing to another user.The physical phone itself is another thing. The glass is very resistant to scratches and the display is great, but everything else is very cheap. The side of the phone has eventually peeled off in patches everywhere near the front facing side, and gives it a very worn, ugly look. The back cover looks good but is very weak. I dropped it once or twice on a carpet and the left edge broke off, and one of the locking parts as well, so it never locks tightly. Also, the "samsung" letters just fell off on their own. There's only the spaces left. I'm sure if they put in just a minor upgrade into the quality of the materials the phone would look much better, but right now it has a quite cheap, worn feel to it. Curiously, my Samsung S3 mini and S4 never suffered from this wearing down, and I take great care of all of my phones.

Received phone today in sealed box, with no issues. I got the European model, all functionalities look good. Installed all the updates for Kitkat, have downloaded Lollipop, but I will install that later, since I hear of many issues after installing Lollipop in S5. My micro sim has not arrived yet, so waiting for it to check the network coverage. Got an European charger in the box, but they have included an adapter so it works in US too. Surprisingly S5 is compatible with my old Galaxy ace charger, so I am using that instead.Edit: Got my H2O microsim card via Amazon and was easy to transfer my existing phone number to the new sim via their customer support chat. Was able configure mobile network using the settings from their site, and I am getting HSPA+ speeds which is pretty fast. Will have to see how to get 4G LTE speeds later.
