You may string as many as you need but each set has to be plugged in separately they do not plug into another set of lights

How can I hang directly onto a wall? Command strips?

Command strips could potentially work. You are hanging it by the cord that holds all of the strands together. I currently have mine hung from tacks or curtain rods.
