I found some ideas for my home remodeling projects. Glad I bought it.

Great book... I bought it used so some of the ideas were a little dated for my use. However, I found that like many books of its type, it can be a springboard for combining your own concepts with those in the book to help with your own space. I liked the images as some "before and after" images really gave a significant understanding of how well some optimized organization can completely change how large a space can appear.I recommend this book to anyone looking to optimize kitchens, laundry rooms, and pantries. There are some fantastic concepts for how to multi-purpose a space simply by using storage baskets that can be store both in and out of sight without having a compact space appear too cluttered. This is just one of many concepts that we leveraged in rooms far beyond the kitchen.

I wondered why this book was rated 5 stars by everyone, and now I know why. What an excellent kitchen book! Not only does he showcase beautiful kitchens, but with the drawers and cupboards open to demonstrate storage possibilities. He also explains how to build a few items such as drawer organizers, shows a variety of storage and organization options, and the purchase sources. One of the best kitchen books I have purchased.

I garnered a few new ideas from reading this, but its time has passed and it's easier to find more up-to-date organizing tools and products on-line. Perhaps the book is due for a new edition?

Great ideas to get your thought process on what you really need to have your kitchen efficient.

For a planned kitchen remodel I bought a half dozen books and this one was the most helpful by far. My kitchen is 30 years old so there are a lot of new concepts for kitchen design I wasn't aware of. It is not so much about floor plans but about how to create an efficient workspace by becoming aware of all the new and convenient cabinet designs, clever storage approaches and improved appliances that are available today. It addresses all the items (from large appliances to the smallest of items like tableware) one uses in a kitchen and the best way to position or store them so they are handy and useful. It offers so many different options that, armed with this thorough reference filled with great photos, you should be able to create a kitchen that fits your needs and lifestyle.
