The Best Pickle Brand Out There.
I have enjoyed Branston Pickle every since I was a little girl. We used to have it on a cheese sandwich for Sunday lunch as a special treat, or with a ploughman's lunch (apple, cheese and a few slices of fresh crusty bread.) I have not been able to find it on the shelves in the United States of America for some time, so I was thrilled to find a seller on Amazon who offered a double pack for such a great price. Be aware that these are the smaller jars, but a little does go a long, long way. For those of you who have not tasted Branston Original Pickles before, they are a mixture of pickled carrots, rutabagas, onions, cauliflowers, marrows and gherkins and have a sweet and tangy flavor. They are very crisp and chunky. Branston Original Pickle is an excellent companion to a sharp cheddar cheese. I highly recommend this brand of pickle above all others. I have tried some of the generic pickle brands in the past and they lack the fresh, tangy taste that the Branston Original Pickle brand has. It comes in a glass jar, with a screw lid for convenience and prolonged freshness. After the jar has been opened, I keep ours in the refrigerator, which helps to keep it fresh. You can't go wrong with Branston.

Will buy again
My first order was damaged during shipping, which was no fault of theirs, and they promptly sent me a replacement no questions asked.I had been wanting to sample Branston pickle myself since seeing the product on James May's food tribe youtube channel. My only complaint is also a compliment at the same time, I wish the distributer would have responded when I informed them of my damaged goods, but it was also like a Christmas present when a replacement order was found on my doorstep without knowing it was coming. The aroma from opening the damaged box was delightful but knowing it was inedible was a letdown, when the replacement magically appeared, my memory of the smell brought a smile to my face and I was able to finally sample another one of Britain's classics. If you enjoy this product and want to expand your condiment options, I also recommend giving these a try: HP, Daddies brown sauce, Salad cream and piccalilli, all have their own unique place. Its a little expensive, but its not regularly found in the USA so I'm willing to spend that little bit more and not complain, in a way it makes the imported product a little bit more special.

Wanted to try something different - Shouldn't have
Product indicates it's a variety of pickles. Well it is; however, it's more of a puree of the pickled items. Almost like a relish. Tastes ok but not really to my liking. Product description also indicates you get two jars when you purchase. I've received one jar. Since it comes from the UK, I figured I'd give it a day or two to get other jar as I received only one in the box. Haven't seen the other jar yet. That's ok. I'll probably throw out the one I have anyway. Don't know if seller just made a mistake or if the postage was too much for them to send other jar. A lesson learned for me

Love love love Branston Pickle
Love love love Branston Pickle. It's been a bit of a deal over the years to get my husband to eat some foods, but he LOVES this. If you like a chutney-like concoction of root veggies, you'll like this. I make curry at least once a week and he loves this with the curry, even more than mango chutney. I grew up with Branston Pickle and was very glad to find it on Amazon so I have a source now. Otherwise, I have to make a trip up to Canada (60 miles from my home) to get some in Vancouver, B.C.
