Cap Does Not Seal Properly - Found an Easy Fix! - Great Product!
This is a great great product. I have used this brand of Tung Oil for ten years. It really brings out the wood grain beautifully. (Use many many thin layers, each allowed to dry overnight.) It is recommended to squeeze the air out of the bottle when in storage. The problem is that the safety cap often has problems. At times it wont open again even when you press and turn. The other problem is that the safety cap will not seal tight enough to keep air out. The bottle fills back up with air. (See photo with original white safety cap.) I found an easy fix. Buy a small Nalgene bottle (See Photo). Get the pill size 1oz bottle. The Nalgene bottle cap fits exactly, and fits tight. No air will leak in (see photo with Nalgene bottle cap keeping air out.). Keep in mind that by doing this you no longer have a safety cap. If you have small children you will have to keep the bottle out of reach.

Quality tung oil
This rubs on the wood easily and, over time, dries to a high lustre with multiple coats. It creates a golden patina of great depth. This stuff is worth using when you want a gorgeous finish and have the time and patience to wait between coats.

Beautiful natural finish
Love the look tung Oil gives natural wood. Easy to apply *wipe on, wipe off. Wait between coats... don't be afraid to add extra coats and be patient. Much better than products sold as tung Oil finish (those leave a tacky residue). Definitely a Go To for natural wood. Also, as you use the bottle...squeeze bottle so oil gets near the top before closing the bottle...keeps more air out of the bottle and away from your tung oil for storage. Just a hint.No issues with shipping... came carefully wrapped and packed.

Rubbish
Used this product on a board room table, heard it was non toxic. Many people using the table got headaches and had complaints about it. Had to seal over it. Rubbish product.

The Only Oil Finish You'll Want
I bout this Tung Oil to replace Linseed oil in my gunmaking shop. Linseed takes forever to dry and comes out sticky for a time. Tung Oil is awesome. Dries easily in hours, smells pleasant, and gives a gorgeous finish. Just remember, if Tung oil is exposed to air for long it will harden so squeeze all the air out of the bottle before recapping.Check out this rifle finished with Tung Oil: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7j6lFE0Hwrw

Worked on bubinga wood
We have a large piece of bubinga wood above the mantel on an outdoor fireplace. The wood is protected from the elements, but it experiences all other weather conditions throughout the year. It had been a number of years since we had applied oil. This tung oil went on very easily using a fine white cloth to apply. Very pleased with the results. We applied two coats as the first coat was quickly absorbed.
