Very nice gel insoles, perfect for boots, sneakers, closed-toe dress shoes, etc. The description is kind of confusing, but I received TWO separate pairs of insoles. I put one set in a pair of heeled boots that had no cushion at all---it made them bearable to walk in. The other insoles, I put in a pair of sneakers that were a bit big. It improved the fit tremendously, as well as adding extra cushion. I had to do a lot of walking recently, which wore me out, but my feet were fine!They come pretty large---you have to cut them to size, trimming the front edge off with scissors. There are guidelines for each size, to make it easier to trim them, but I actually had to cut mine a half-size smaller than what it said, as well as trimming them a bit narrower. This seemed strange, since my shoes are wide-width! Just to be safe, I recommend trying them in your shoes first, before you cut the insoles, and only cut a little off at a time, so you don't accidentally make them too short. It's easiest to fit them into your shoes if you place the heel in first, snugging it up against the heel of the shoe. Then roll the insole forward, tucking it down into the shoe. If you can't reach into the toes to smooth out the insole, use a pencil or chopstick to make sure it's lying flat in the toes.I love these insoles, so I'm giving them five stars! Highly recommended to anyone who needs to make a pair of shoes a little tighter, or who needs some additional cushion.

There are lines to guide you when cutting. I wear a 9 1/2 shoe, so I tried cutting just a tiny sliver from the insert. Still too big, so I followed the line for a size 9 and it fit perfectly. I was surprised to find the insole in my shoes just lifted out. I wear LLBean shoes and never realized this before. With the insole out and the Gel insole inserted the shoe was not too tight. I saw several reviews saying you would need to buy larger shoes. This was definitely not the case. The big surprise was that they fit my every day clogs and also my dress shoes. If you fold back the toe about 2" and then fold in the sides it goes in quite easily. After that all you have to do is unroll it. Took me a while to discover that trick. I am still very new to these. I will come back and update after wearing for a while. Shifting from one pair of shoes to another is sort of a pain - I will definitely buy more pairs of Gel insoles if they prove to be entirely satisfactory.Update 1-31-14I am very happy with these and changed my original 4 stars to a 5. They slip out and go into another pair of shoes so easily I have not found it necessary to buy a pair for each pair of shoes. I didn't realize just how much difference these can make until I wore a pair of shoes all day without having them in that pair. That's when I learned how easily I could slip them from one pair to another. The day without the insoles left me with sore calves and tired legs.

Each year, I replace the insoles in my boots to keep them fresh and comfortable. I thought these were the same as my last pair but once I received them, I saw they were not. These are very thin, rubbery/sticky in texture. I had no trouble cutting them down to size, but they would not stay in place in my boots - they would roll up when the shoes weren't on, would slide while wearing so that the curve of the heel back would end up digging into the center of my heel. On top of that, they didn't give any extra cushioning or support like previously purchased insoles. I ended up taking them out of my shoes and found the shoe MORE comfortable without these insoles.

This is the first time I ever reviewed a product but I had no choice after using these insoles, simply said they are wonderful. I have small, quite flat feet and to complicate things my right heel was fractured several years ago. I've always had trouble with athletic shoes and learned to live with constant aching/soreness. Well…no more! I am thrilled! I bought a new pair of light weight Merrells athletic shoes and was surprised how quickly my feet became sore- only a few hours (especially the right foot with the old fracture). Please note that I bought these shoes because they were supposed to be "comfortable" for those of us with flat feet. That is when I thought about trying inserts and after looking at the reviews I chose Dr. Scholl's. After the first day using the inserts my feet felt normal and not sore. The added bonus is the shoes are now as comfortable as my bedroom slippers, seriously, I didn't want to take the Merrills off because my feet felt so good. So now I am a very happy camper as I can enjoy my light weight Merrells and my feet are massaged all day long! To be sure, I will be buying more inserts to put in my other everyday shoes. Last, I recommend buying the 2 pair package for the value.

This item really helps me at work cause I'm on my feet for long times at work&I would recommend this otem

They feel great - BUT they came apart at the heel - not at the toe where you cut them which I find faulty. I am still however wearing them because they do feel good - the heel part also has a piece of fabric that came apart so it gets under you heel and always feels like a piece of fabric is under you heel - haha - but overall the entire foot feels better because of the gel. Yes, I would buy them again - just unhappy that it comes apart at the heel.

I got these for an old pair of boots, I love them but they have always hurt to walk in for a long time. They have zero cushioning. I just put these in and they now feel so soft and warm and wonderful. I wear a size 10 and it fits perfectly in my shoe! No trimming or additional length needed. I'll have to wait to see how they hold up but I'm already pleased with them!

I used theses in my running shoes and they honestly feel like a brand new pair (a better new pair). I walk around my house in theses because they feel better than my house shoes. These things are amazing, and basically bring the life back into any shoes. They do require some cutting to fit perfectly into whatever shoes they are used for but after said fine tuning they are amazing!
