Reaches middle knuckle on normal size adult hand.
This was a perfect solution to stabilize what's sometimes called a "boxers knuckle." (This particular injury was a Subluxation of the tendon. I think "boxers knuckle" can include other injuries as well.)At any rate, his first (fist) knuckle needed to be stabilized.Based on the product photo we had intended to cut the brace "finger" back so it would only reach the middle knuckle. As it turns out, we didn't need to, because the brace was exactly the right length for what he needed. He has a normal sized adult hand. (Photo's attached)Also, he wears in on the inside of his hand, not the outside. The metal part of the brace is sturdy, but it CAN be bent to better form to the palm of your hand. That said, we're buying another one so he can have one that fits the position of his hand while using his computer mouse, and another one for whatever else he's doing. (The brace is bendable, but not so easily bendable that you'd want to keep changing it.)A very good solution to an unfortunate situation.

Works as advertised
This small product may not appear to be much, but it works phenomenally well as a splint. My girlfriend had a cyst in the joint of her finger from typing all day at work. The doctor recommended she splint the finger at night to allow time for it to rest and heal. She wore this product for all of 2-3 weeks and the cyst as completely gone away. The functionality of the product is very practical, allowing for you to adjust as necessary to virtually any hand size. She said it is as comfortable as anything can be that is designed to restrict movement. No issues as all and will come in handy later on down the road in the event her cyst returns or one of us jams a finger.

So many bad reviews who don't know how to use product.
So, when I first opened this and put it on, I thought to myself "d*mn this is so small was it made for children"? I then played with it a bunch and finally figured it out. Then I went to look at the reviews and found out that loads of people just didn't get how to use it. And I have to admit, the images are deceptive and I'm fairly certain that maybe yes it is shorter than what's in the image perhaps. But it's adjustable, the first thing I tried doing was unfolding the long part that crosses over the wrist strap, but I realized that it's supposed to do that. What you can do to adjust the length is fold it over more, so the wrist strap is almost folded in half if you want it to go all the way to the tip of your finger. Also the lower finger strap is velcroed on and can be removed or moved up or down if necessary. The pictures I provide should make this clearer.

Works... but velcro is weak
Overall, this finger splint does the job and is comfortable; however, the velcro (especially the bit that holds the wrist strap together) is very weak. This leads to the splint often coming undone at night and falling off. Not sure why they skimped out on the cheap, one-sided velcro there. I will probably need to end up sewing on a strip of real velcro to solve this.

it works!
I jammed my hand in a washing machine on Christmas Eve. After New Years, it hurt so much after using it for just a few minutes that I had to stop. I tried an elastic bandage, but I would still move the injured part too much and I would put it on too tight. Enter this guy: it was a long wait for the delivery but WORTH IT!! Supportive, not too hot or tight, the splints aren't annoying, fits pretty well. It is kind of long on me, but it helps protect the whole finger that way.

It will make your trigger finger worse.
This product isn't good by any means. I suffer from a trigger finger and this brace only managed to worsen my condition. I took it to the Dr. With me to make sure I was using it correctly which I was. But as my Doctor noted it is poorly designed. And the function it is supposed to provide is neglected. The velcro patch is way to small. The distance between the finger straps is to far, to the point that you would either have to be a giant to make use of it. And I'm not sure if it's all of them but the one I received was sown inside out. On a positive note the material was very nice and easy on the skin even after hours of use. It sounds like a small victory but comfort is key. After all you buy a product such as this to bring comfort to a painful situation. Although I was overall unsatisfied i won't return it because it is a medical brace and it be unsanitary and pointless to return it. I suggest getting a cheaper compression sleeve for your trigger finger. Save your money.

Duprytren contracture preventative
I have the beginnings of duprytren contracture and I've been looking for things that will help me to keep my hand and fingers extended to stretch out my palm and this is pretty comfortable works good. I would have liked for it to have a little bit more of a curve so that my fingers could be stretched backwards a little bit more but it's adequate. You can use it on different fingers I actually put two fingers together and the velcro is long enough, although my hands are small.

too short to stabilize my finger above the middle knucle when worn on the outside
I have trigger finger and the part that needs to be stabilized isn't stabilized unIess I wear it inside my hand which isn't comfortable for me. I do have large hands and long fingers but my previous brand worked fine. The velcro is also an issue. it doesn't hold well.
