Not the Father!
Sometimes you just get lost in the moment and send it! But soon after you get that clarity and realize it was a terrible idea because you can barely afford to pay rent let alone feed a little one. But alas this solution in a pill or salvation in a pill does its job and keeps you from landing in court disputing child support fees. Worked well for me both parties agreed on this solution. Life is good.

Marked SAFE From Pregnancy đ
V-Day got a little too hot and spicy. Iâll admit, I was being reckless with the hubby and shouldâve been smarter. This pill came RIGHT ON TIME. Took it IMMEDIATELY. Of course, waiting to see if it worked was the hardest part especially since the incident happened near my fertile time. The agony of waiting for my period to come was brutal but THANKFULLY my period came as expected but not without some interesting side effects. Overall, Iâm just glad and relieved that Iâm NOT PREGNANT and a V-Day statistic.WORD OF WISDOM: LADIES, if youâre NOT trying to have kids, do yourself a favor and remember to use an extra measure of birth control, PLEASE. Do it for your sanity and peace of mind. A few seconds of unprotected bliss isnât worth 2+ weeks of wondering if youâre pregnant or not. Safe sex is still SEXY. Be sure to track your cycle. Also, I know things can get real spicy real fast, make sure you have this on deck in case of an emergency. DO NOT wait to take it.Needless to say, Iâll be exploring extra birth control methods just to be safe but this pill was a LIFE SAVER for me.

Plan B delays ovulation; it does not stop a pregnancy that already started
Preface: I share as much as I can to provide educational information to those who donât have it. Better to be thorough than not. It may help someone, & that is enough for me.~~~~~~~~So what is Plan B? Plan B is made with a synthetic form of progesterone called levonorgestrel to stop or delay the release of an egg before it has a chance to be fertilized. If ovulation has already occurred, the prevention of pregnancy is not guaranteed. Plan B & other brand emergency contraceptives (EC) â such as My Way, Take Action, Next Choice One Dose â cannot stop a released fertilized egg from implanting (attaching to the uterus/womb), according to studies. In other words, if youâve already ovulated by the time you took Plan B, your chances of getting pregnant are about the same as if you hadnât taken it.Taking EC also does not interrupt or harm an existing pregnancy. The FDAâs claims on what EC can & may do, makes it confusing but research is clearer about it. EC is not an abortifacient â meaning, it doesnât abort a pregnancy nor âkillâ the fertilized &/or implanted egg. If it did, there wouldnât be so many reports of people realizing theyâre pregnant some time after taking the pill. Thatâs hogwash propaganda. And itâs also why I feel itâs important to explain & emphasize what Plan B can & cannot do, according to research.According to studies, emergency contraception is effective 75-89% of the time if taken within a 72-hour period from unprotected vaginal intercourse. The longest suggested is 120 hours (5 days). Please know the further you are from the hour you ended intercourse, the lower the ECâs effectiveness becomes. So if you take it within two hours, for example, youâre about 89% protected. If you take it by the 67th hour, youâre more likely only 75% protected at this point. Other variabilities are on a womanâs cycle & body, i.e. weight/BMI.If you put its percentage of effectiveness into stats, it would mean that an estimated 11 to 25 women out of 100 women who take EC post-unprotected vaginal intercourse are to become pregnant anyway. Note that sperm can live in a womanâs uterus for up to five days.Understanding how to keep track of ovulation, discharge textures & smells, slight changes in body, symptoms throughout oneâs cycle, & etc., is important, otherwise EC will continue to be open to failure at such high rates. Knowing these things adds more protection & personal autonomy as to when one is least likely to become pregnant. This doesnât include women who had no choice in unprotected penetration. The nature of the pill itself is for emergencies, hence no guarantees, only an option to prevent/delay a process. The pill itself isnât necessarily the only reason for failure; part of the failure lies in the process of how the pill is being taken & when, & other factors. In the FDAâs language, it is written, âIt is possible that Plan B One-Step may also work ... by preventing attachment (implantation) to the uterus (womb).â KEYWORD: MAY. May does not mean âwillâ, & as Iâve mentioned, research doesnât support that claim.I have taken Plan B a few times throughout my life, & fortunately did not get pregnant during those times. I am now on birth control, which is more effective than EC. It is not recommended to take EC as part of a routine birth control as it is LESS effective than BC. It doesnât last long, & even taking BC today isnât recommended if you plan to have unprotected intercourse tomorrow, for example. To add, the amount of hormones youâre adding to your body wouldnât be healthy to take regularly, so itâs important to only take this during emergencies & consider using birth control that works for you (whether itâs medicated or not). There are different methods & places to get womenâs healthcare, so I hope you can find a good place to get a checkup & the medication you need.Remember: Plan B is only an emergency option intended to delay or stop ovulation by âtrickingâ the body into thinking youâre pregnant through use of a synthetic hormone, but it does not stop an existing pregnancy.I also wanted to mention â after seeing a few posts online & a review of this product â that this should not be taken by anyone that doesnât ovulate. A review I came across was from a boyfriend who took Plan B & was upset his girlfriend ended up pregnant.Best of luck if you take this pill. May the odds be in your favor.
