The Gruffalo in Scots Paperback – August 1, 2012

What fun! I fell in love with the "English" version while subbing at our local preschool. I had to have both versions. I have been practicing the Scot version for a read-aloud at our local preschool. The preschool teacher has most of Julia Donaldson books and a couple of the DVDs for the class. The preschoolers love the books and the DVDs. To my delight, I was already familiar with one of Julia Donaldson's books "Super Worm." Another preschool to second grade delight. Thanks!

We love the Gruffalo and found this book while on vacation in Scotland. We elected to purchase the Gruffalo's Child in Scots (Gruffalo's Wean) but not this one while there and regretted not getting them both because my daughter loves this book more than just about any other. I found it on Amazon.co.uk, but didn't want to pay nearly $20 between conversion rate and shipping so I was excited to find the same book on Amazon.com. If you have any Scottish in you then you will love this book, but you will have fun even if you don't.

If you’re of Scot heritage this is a fun read. It takes some practice reading it but it gets easier I promise! :)

I ordered this for a Scottish friend to read to her daughter and to have a bit of Scotland with her in the US. She loved it, this is a classic little Scot book is a must have, especially for people away from home. The book itself was in great condition upon arriving to me as well.

It takes practice reading it aloud, but it's worth it!!! And it's an even better story in Scots! :)

I bought the video from Amazon and have it in my Amazon video library. It would be better if it were narrated in Scots with subtitles to explain what is being said. This copy was sent to a friend who enjoys the Scots very much.

I was hesitant to order based on a few poor reviews. I'm glad I did! Well made. Packaged simply in a plastic bag. 3 year old Gruffalo fan loves it.

This is very cute for a child who has good language skills. Ordered for my son who is studying German.
