Quality, value, ease
So, I just purchased these. I am one day in and impressed so far both with the quality and price.PERFORMANCE: The nibs are proper, gold and calibrated well on purchase. The fittings are tight but not impossible to operate. The cap/posting is particularly nice with a cushioned press. The flow is smooth even with shimmer ink. Nice medium amount of depositing on the paper, able to be adjusted with just the speed of the strokes. The converters seal well, and screw nicely. The surfaces cleaned easily when I got ink on them. (Which I always do as a check). When posted they are wonderfully lengthy, something I need for my giant sausage-fingered hands. (I worry they may be large for someone with petite dainties).APPEARANCE: The solid silver is very sharp looking and would be appropriate even in an upscale bank or London cigar shop. (I may have to buy a bunch). The blue and black are both understated and classy. The red and green are appropriately flashy. The velvety sleeves are nothing special, but functional. I wish they had some individual sleeves too, but that is unreasonable.

Bargain for nice pens
I like to carry a fountain pen along with the obligatory roller writer for those pesky carbonless forms. I really didn't expect much at $3.20 a pen, figuring I could use one for a bit and go to the next one. Surprise. The first one inked right up when I put in a cartridge and hasn't needed to be fussed with yet. I use it for notes, signatures (on single sheets) and carry it to court every day I'm there. I've gotten a couple of compliments on it. Nice feel, not overly heavy like some of the Chinese pens. I'm impressed. Hard to spoil oneself at these prices, but these pens could very well do it for you.

These are surprisingly great pens!
I love Parker Sonnet pens, when I saw these, I thought, are these any good for the price of $16 for 5 pens? Then, I read the reviews and took a calculated risk. It's $16 not 1600.00. So I pulled the trigger and purchased the 5 different colors. When I got them, I was surprised by the weight and quality of these pens. These aren't any cheap plastic wanna be pens. So that's what they look like on the outside, but that's not the sole reason you buy pens. You buy them to write with and do so with comfort. So, I inked them up and put them to the test.I was amazed how smooth these pens write, and not just one of them, but ALL of them. They each come with their own ink converter so you can use whatever fountain pen ink and color you want. Very nice indeed. So much so that I'm getting ready to buy another set and I may buy even more to give each as a gift along with a color coordinating journal for presents for co workers.I highly recommend these pens. Great pens for beginners and enthusiasts alike.

all 5 worked !
First- they are very pretty and it's so nice to have pretty colors for a change. Love the texture. They write smooth, this is why I use a fountain pen. I have different colors of ink and now have 5 different colors to go anywhere. Love it.

Looks great, doesn't write consistently
Love the look and price of these pens, and love that the nib has some flex to it! However, it took a very long time for it to start writing after I filled it and it frequently goes dry between uses, where I have to either wet the tip or scribble for a while to get it flowing again, which is quite annoying. My other pen (a relatively inexpensive Jinhao) never had this issue. When it does write, however, it works well and feels good in my hand.

Is it a Parker Sonnet?
No, it's a Baoer B388!I can't compare it to the Parker, but I can compare it to other cheap fountain pens. These are great. Brass material, solid build. On the heavier side, but not excessively so.All five pens have smooth nibs, the convertors are included.Caps fit well and the pens haven't dried out on me.The caps don't post terribly well, but I don't like the top heavy weight so that's a non-issue.Body size is a nice thickness, a good taper at the grip, not as fat as the Jinhao x750/x159/etc...which makes it more comfortable to meBiggest Con: the clips are really tight.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Of the 5, I could get only ONE to actually function. The photo also betrays how they actually loon. The black and the silver pens are the most aesthetically appealing, but those aren't the ones that work. Would I repurchase? Absolutely not.
